  1. I guess in the first place I was never aware that there is a "right of respect". I've never seen a document that says a person has the right to be respected. I consider respect a privelige that must be earned. Thats just me though i guess
  2. Why are you using the Cleveland Indians logo? That, to me, is not a good example since it is a cartoon picture. I think that our logo is a very prideful representation of native americans.
  3. What information have you given on this thread so far?
  4. Ok i brought it over here, happy? Give me one reason why you asked this question. And we all know its not really because of curiousity so don't even try that.
  5. Just to make a statement to this here. I went to BHS during 2000-2001, and i think you're talking about Kinnischitzke? He was good, but nowhere near where Weston was in high school. Weston put up his stats while playing basically only the first half(and some third quarters) all year until the championship game, because the team was so dominant on offense. I just think Weston could be a great UND running back.
  6. I don't know when the carries were, i just found the stats. He had 10 carries for 67 yards for a 6.7 yard average. Yes i know thats only 10 carries, but thats still an impressive average. He even had a run of 27 yards in one of his 10 carries, although that could possibly have been against a 2nd team defense. Good idea on the give him a few carries, and see how it goes.
  7. One more reason i believe he deserves a shot is because, correct me if i'm mistaken, but he had the highest rushing yards per carry on the team out of all the running backs. Again correct me if i'm wrong.
  8. I disagree there. While he is small, he is also extremely strong and tough. He handled it his whole senior year, and I don't ever remember hearing about any injuries with him, so I definetely think his body would be up to it.
  9. I saw the kid play a few times when he played for Bismarck in high school. Does anyone else think he deserves a shot at being the featured running back. At BHS i believe he averaged something like 9.3 yards per carry, and he had over 2000 yards rushing and around 40(?) touchdowns. Every time he touched the ball there was a buzz that he might take it all the way, because he could absolutely fly. I think he could be a great college running back, even for his size. If he's got good enough vision to be a first team all american punt returner, you would think he has the tools to be their best running back. I know he's the starting wide receiver, but i think he would be more useful at running back. Any opinions on whether or not he should/could be the featured back?
  10. I'm sure this has already been posted, but some terriffic writing by PCM here http://www.uscho.com/news/2005/08/22_010692.php very good reading, and i would love to see the look on the face of an NCAA committee member as he is reading it:D
  11. The general word on HFboards.com is that Tysen Dowzak has decided to take the WHL route and play for Kelowna. Tough break for UND as we may have had a good shot at him.
  12. I like how you say those who Can't be bought, but in the other forum you said you would be ok with the name if you got a free education, and every building was named after a native american. So I suppose getting a free education just so you don't keep getting upset doesnt count as being bought?
  13. I wanna know why GrahamKracker isn't answering any of these questions. He just ignores them every time somebody asks, or he says something like "I get sick of explaining this over and over again" when, from my recollection, he never really has explained the answers to these questions. Most of everyone who has posted on this board has explained their views, and then he just decides to jump to conclusions/accuse people of things. It would be great, GrahamKracker, if you could just provide some insightful answers here so we can understand where you're coming from.
  14. Hopefully we get one more year out of Smaby. I honestly think he could use one more solid year, considering he really shined at the very end of last year. I want to see him develop even more into the dominant force that he is. You know what we should do this year if Greene and Smaby stay, we should have Finley center Greene and Smaby on a forward line. Now that would be the best forechecking line hockey has ever seen.
  15. hockeysfuture.com is a great site and has great messageboards. Its fun telling people about our very own recruits and what their abilities etc. are. As you may have noticed, I post there and read some good information.
  16. Nice to see so many sioux recruits get drafted higher than they were supposed to. I think every recruit to get drafted was drafted ahead of where they were predicted. I was a little surprised that Zach Jones did not get drafted, but there were quite a few surprises(i.e. Oshie going in round 1) that I kind of expected the unexpected. Oh well though it was a great draft for UND recruits and it looks like we won't be keeping too many of these new recruits for very long.
  17. Good choices there I have to say. Although I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Prpich with the C, it would kinda remind me of Armbrust in a way. A role player who does his job and does it WELL. But these are just guesses since none of us know who is a leader in the locker room.
  18. Minot showed their true colors in the first round of the state tourney this year. An unbeaten record in the west is equivalent to a .500 record in the east. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  19. I would say watch out for minot and williston too.
  20. What is your source that he signed cause i guess i didnt' see it on Heisenberg's site? It would be awesome if he did sign as he would be just a physical force:D
