  1. How the H-E-double hockey sticks did they wave off that ice with like 20 seconds to go...he knocks it down..the closest player is at the far blueline, and all i hear is "NO!" what a joke. We coulda been in the offensive zone and maybe scored
  2. In the middle of the first period i saw prpich take a pretty hard hit...and i noticed he got up kinda slow..i didnt think anything of it though until the middle of the second when i realized that bina was playing forward and i hadnt seen prpich in a while. hope to find out what was wrong?
  3. Anyone hear woog before the game during pregame comments talk about Spirko without ever saying his name? He was like "sioux player number 11" and then mozzoco had to say his name and woog was like "yes hes considered an offensive threat" haha woog you moron.
  4. According to woog, our most reliable offensive defenseman is "matt fuher". I wonder who that is. Must be a new recruit for the weekend
  5. Wow 12 points in 6 games in an international competition...impressive. sounds like a great talent
  6. Does anybody have a talent analysis/breakdown of Toews? Anyone know his strengths and weaknesses?
  7. As far as i know....i heard they reached an agreement to televise all 5 games of the final five. So expect it to be on!

Looks like Toews is pulling away from Gergen as he had 11 points this weekend. Any news on why Chorney hasn't been playing??
  9. According to insidecollegehockey.com (an espn partner), the selection show will be at 11 a.m.(i assume eastern time) on sunday morning on espn2.
  10. Somethings telling me that we most likely won't see Travis here for four years no matter what. He is a phenomenal talent and is also a great two-way center. Once the season is back in swing, i would think that after next year, new jersey will be drooling to get their hands on zajac.
  11. Dippin Dots are incredible...especially cookies and cream:D
  12. I found it hilarious when Rosehill was pushing Murray after the whistle(after he went for his shoulder) and Murray proceeded to nut him as hard as he could twice. Rosehill skated off the ice pretty slow on that one. GO SIOUX!
  13. This team has really fought well in all this adversity. First, they cant find a goalie to depend on. Second, they aren't doing too hot so people are calling for their coach's head. And then, the seniors get bashed all over for not producing(yes i was one of the bashers). And the great thing about it is they come out and(in my mind) prove everyone wrong. Oh how great it was to see a whole team effort for 120 minutes of hockey this weekend. The seniors stepped up and showed some leadership. The underclassmen helped out by scoring in bunches. This team looks like it has plenty of heart left for the season so you never know what can happen. It's gonna be an exciting trip to the final five, NCAA's.....and hopefully the Frozen Four where i think if this sioux team keeps it up we got a real good shot at winning this.
  14. Nice to see the ENTIRE senior class stepping up for once. This whole weekend they have been working so hard and even more importantly, producing results. Also good to see a goalie we can stick with.
  15. Any score updates of the other games?
  16. I dont think that there has been one time this weekend where zajac hasnt gone into the corner and came out with the puck ... its incredible how he always seems to get the puck he is a great player.
  17. WOWWWWWEEEE! Thats a textbook 1st period. Every single line did what was asked of them. The first and second lines are scoring. The other two lines are holding it in the zone and battling and creating some chances of their own...this is some exciting hockey. And that one timer by zajac was a burner! It is great to see Murray back in the lineup he adds so much. One person that has really stood out and impressed me is bina...2 assists already! way to go little man
  18. I hope all of our recruits do well as all of them are still playing as far as i know except for Vandevelde and Brad Miller(injured). I believe the rest are playing as of right now so lets cross our fingers that they all stay healthy and are ready to come put on a green and white sweater next year! (By the way, did anyone else really like the black jerseys the team finally wore in st cloud?)
  19. Wisconsin currently has 2 recruits http://members.aol.com/cheisenber/Recruit05.htm that are already for 2007. Talk about looking into the future! One is an '88 and one is an '89! That is really something to take a leap of faith into a kid who is still 15(birthday is in august of 89) and has much more developing to do. Wonder if we'll be hearing his name anymore in the future.....Kyle Turris. He plays in the PIJHL for Grandview. Regular season stats are 30 GP, 13 G, 20 A. Not standout numbers. Does anyone know much about the style of the PIJHL is it more defensive minded or what?

    Oshie

Anyone know anything about Ben Bengston or Kyle Hardwick? I've heard a rumor that Bengston isnt too great of a player all that happens is Oshie finds him and bengston scores. Can anyone confirm or deny this? i am from central north dakota so i haven't seen any warroad games this year. Also Kyle Hardwick i've heard is one of the top D in the state, anyone know what his plans are for next year....has he committed anywhere?
  21. I met him at a hockey camp a few years back he was coaching and i just stopped by to see how it was going and i talked to him and wow he was a nice guy. For me he's right up there on my short list of favorites that also includes parise and panzer. As you can tell i like the speed guys that are just exciting to watch.
  22. Sounds like we got a speedster in Matt Watkins. He won the fastest skater competition at the BCHL all star game. Maybe another Kevin Spiewak. Spiewak was one of my all time favorites. When he would get the puck it was just exciting to see what would happen. It seems like he scored in the big games. Against Maine in the semi's in 2000. Against Michigan State in the semi's in 2001. He never really racked up much for points but was one of my favorites because he never quit. Chris Porter kinda reminds me of spiewak. Any other thoughts on Spiewak from anyone?
  23. I'm real excited with our incoming class next year. Looks like kozek, watkins, and duncan are absolutely ripping it up in the BCHL. Toews sounds like he'll be a phenomenal player. Next year i expect better goal output with the team or something is definetely wrong with the offensive systems. As for now the defense has been playing great, allowing 3 goals against wisconsin and 2 against JBSU. Things are looking up for next year

    Oshie

How exciting would it be if next year we had a Toews/Zajac(or stafford)/Murray line. The talent on that line would remind me of a certain line in 2001 that led the nation by a long ways in total points. Oshie looks to be a solid young recruit with great vision, and Vandevelde had a tremendous state tournament. I'm confident also in our young defense recruits. Chorney should be a solid addition and Jones is one of the top recruits in the country. They also have Lee coming who looks to be a great player and Radke coming back basically as a freshman. Next year UND should have, if nothing else, a very exciting team to watch as the pace should be fast and furious. Hoping to do good in the playoffs this year and maybe if they peak at the right time, watch them take home title #8
