It's not an urgent request, just a game I really want to re-live and show my fiance. One of the better games I can recall from the Old Ralph. I just moved to Duluth, so whenever it's convenient for you, let me know. I can send you a check if needed first or however you want the transaction done. Let me know.

Ok, so I've contacted a ton of people trying to narrow down the exact date on this game, and thanks(I Hope) to Brad Schlossman, I think I found it. As the topic title states, I'm looking for the February 15, 1998 at the Old Ralph vs. the Gophers where UND was down 3-0 going into the 3rd period, scored 5 un-answered goals against Steve DeBus and the the Old Ralph wouldn't stop shaking. It was an unbelieveable game and I want it on DVD if possible. If anyone has this game on DVD or VHS, and is willing to make a copy of it on to a DVD, please contact me via either a PM or at LeftyZL@hotmail.com

I was thinking the same thing. But if you go to ticketmaster.com and find the event, you can reserve your seats for the Final 5 right now. They don't tell you where they'll be, just that they are reserved.

My advice: Less Luggage, More alcohol. That's what I seem to remember after seeing the bus pull up in Milwaukee in 1997 at 10am. They had most of the luggage compartments filled with beer and other things for the over-night trip. Better buckle up. It's always a fun time.

Where did you get a ticket for that cheap out of Grand Forks?

I didn't see this posted anywhere and I tried to find unsuccessfully to find it on the Hockey News website, but every week they have an "AHL Profile" with a player from the league. Turns out, in the 9/18 edition, it was none other than Chris Porter. They talked a little bit about his negotiation process with CHI and STL, but mostly about his future. From The Article: "Porter will very likely end up with the AHL's Peoria Rivermen team as he learns the pro game, but the Blues like his skating, size, and his dedication to the game. He's not going to be their next 30-goal scorer at center or left wing, but he will be a pain to play against."

I live in Duluth, my parents are in GF...They are picking me and my fiance up along the way. Nothing like a free road trip!
-
I'm in for the road trip to Michigan Tech. Bought my tickets, sitting in corner section G, Row 1. Apparently it's where the away team fans sit? Just what the lady at MTU told me. Staying at the Travel Lodge...Still contemplating the UW series in early November.
-
I only saw one person get hit in the head with an empty bottle while camping outside the new Ralph for tickets. And he was a Gopher fan. I rest my case.
-
I know I should have put this under the tickets section, but I figured it would get more looks here. Tickets for the UND-Gopher series in Minneapolis in February went on sale yesterday(9/15). So far, Saturday is already sold out. Get your tickets soon while you still can.

That's where you're wrong. They're not undersized, they're form-fitted. Big difference.

I agree. When I see the picture of the one AZSIOUX posted, the first thought that comes to my mind is Florida State, not UND. But I'm a sports junkie so maybe my point of view is irrelevant.

What games are you talking about?

Here's a shovel.... ...Keep on Digging

So comparing victories of some pretty/really good teams in the FCS division against perenial bottom feeders in 2nd-rate leagues in the FBS, minus Northwestern and Indiana, makes this argument relavant in what way...The bottom line in all of this is the last quote in the article you pasted:

In the 2nd set of photos, the broken piece of a tree that's stuck in the cement side of the building is truly amazing. The other photo that was somewhat amazing is the flagpole in front of the nursing home or hospital. I have a great aunt that resided there, and it's amazing that the flag pole didn't break. Hopefully the town can rally around that flag pole and it's "bend, but don't break" philosophy.

Off-Topic Question...When looking at President Kupchella's Strategic Plan for the University, under Table 18 it states "Projects for the Future or Under Construction"...Is there any way to get an updated list of those goals since so many of the projects are just listed as proposed?
-
Don't quote me, but I'm almost positive they said that Meek dislocated his elbow and it would be a while before he returned. That's what I remember from the radio coverage.
-
One more question, since I'm nit-picking now...How come, at least on my computer, does AZSioux get more space in his "signature" space than everyone else? His covers the right side of the thread on all threads that he posted in. Is that a glitch or does AZSioux get special privaleges on here now? I'm just kidding, but wondering the same.

Your statement doesn't hold a lot of water since, as you stated, both schools have virtually the same acceptance criteria. I just looked up both, and NDSU has a slightly lower standard SAT score for a high school student with a 2.5 GPA than UND does. One could say maybe UND is receiving more applicants because people from ND high school students are tired of the Fargo arrogance that the city has shown at times. But I'm just one person. On another note, if kids think that UND has easier college entry qualifications, as you stated, what are our high school counselors telling the students? Is it too complicated to look into a book or go online? Just pure laziness.

Off topic from the logo change, but relavant to the site change. Or maybe I just never noticed til now. I go to my message screen and in the bottom left corner under options, there is a link to purchase paid subscriptions. I click on it, but can't do anything on the next screen. What's the link supposed to get you?

HAKSTOL 9 MONTHS and change LEFT ON CONTRACT!
LeftyZL replied to the"source"'s topic in Men's Hockey
Ok, here's another attempt at trying to explain the "Apples and Oranges" rebuttal. The Brian Lee situation dealt with people from all different areas of expertise who provided insight into the situation. You weren't required to have inside information on the situation since Brian Lee played his game in a public arena. If you went to a game, you had an opinion of Brian Lee. Whether it was right or wrong, that's not for debate here. The situation you keep harping on is one that is being done behind closed doors, not being made available to the public. You have to "insiders", as you say, to understand the situation. Otherwise you wouldn't have a clue what was going on with the situation. There's the difference. As for my opinion, I loved Brian Lee as a player of our hockey team when he was here. I believe he took way too much grief when it wasn't warranted at all. Period. The situation with Mr. Buning and Mr. Hakstol is completely different than the first. I have no inside knowledge, nor do I pretend to have any, but it's a private situation that will be made public when necessary. If you feel there's as big of an issue as you and others on here claim, I'd suggest writing the Herald(or any news publication) with your facts and having them investigate further. Spouting off on a board anonymously is not a great way to get this issue resolved. -
In response to your question, I did some research and it appears that Humboldt St. is in the Southwest Region according to this link. D-2 Football Handbook It's on page 16, appendix C.

HAKSTOL 9 MONTHS and change LEFT ON CONTRACT!
LeftyZL replied to the"source"'s topic in Men's Hockey
All I've seen from you, 7NationalTitles, regarding this issue is a constant bashing of Buning and the way the AD has handled this situation. I have never seen you ask the previous question in a post before. By you using the phrase "should have been completed" in your question, you obviously assume the contract extension should have been signed by now. That's not how the real world works everytime. Sure it would be nice, but it's not necessary in this case or any case for that matter. It just seems like you keep repeating the same argument in all of your posts. All of this on this board know exactly how you feel about the situation. -
