Valley City & Mayville were 2 schools that have ties to NDSU and scheduled us during our transition period. Besides fb why didn't UND schedule NDSU in anything during that period? Why should we help you with your transition? There's no upside to NDSU except in bb. attendance and that's only 2 games. Our fb attendance is close to selling out (over 16,000) and if we get into the gateway will be real close to selling out. Have fun!! PS: Don't you have USD as a partner or do you?

The last talk I had with an official at NDSU, he said that at the NCC meetings when NDSU & SDSU proposed the conference move up Mr. Abbott from USD was very rude to both presidents and AD's. So unless he has repaired the damage (which I doubt) from NDSUs viewpoint I don't think they want anything to do with USD.

I agree 100% - actually fear is driving all this speculation. Fear of knowing that both schools (UND & USD) have come to the DI move late and all the conferences are full. Unless the Mid-Con loses some more members I highly doubt that they expand. With NDSU & SDSU being invited to the Gateway Conference spring meetings Feb 19 it looks good for their invite to the Gateway.

The article is pure speculation and Douple has watched how USD and UND responded to NDSU and SDSU move to DI. He wasn't very impressed with both schools. Douple is a stand up guy and a good friend of Gene Taylor, I doubt that he was meeting in secret with USD.

Why should anyone believe you - the sioux haven't done anything in the last 3 years and that's with SDSU and NDSU out of the picture. You should have had clear sailing to the nationals every year. What happened?

Way to go sultan - count the years that NDSU was out of the conference if it makes you happy. Remember 15 > 14 you can't change facts.

You need to start the 10 year cycle the last year we played - 2004 to 1994 NDSU NC years 1991,1993,1994,1995,1996

I wonder why UND has those "other sports" then? An athletic department is defined by ALL its sports not just cherry picking the successful ones.

I'm not the one who started talking about what's wrong with NDSU womens bb team. And I'm sure as not worring about your bb team. Are you really sure for the last decade the sioux were better? I went back and from 94 to 04 it's NDSU 15 and UND 14. Think what you want about your womens bb team, but if they were as great as some seem to think then 92/96's next topic should be "why can't the sioux get out of the regional".

What has the sioux women done in the last 5 years - they haven't even gotten out of the regionals. I'm sure they have a good team, but are they underachievers or what? 92/96 loves to compare scores which doesn't mean swat, too bad they don't schedule some of the Mid-Con or BSC teams and really see what's up.

Do you really think that all your sports will move up at the same rate? NDSU womens bb has had some injures and some recruits leave. They'll be back. That struggling MN team has already beat the # 25 team the week before. The majority of our sports are doing well in the move. I notice that you like to focus on womens bb because they are having a harder time. That's a luxury that NDSU fans won't have as we'll have to focus on most of your sports in the move.

As you can see UNI was overrated and didn't make the playoffs.
