Since it's an arrangement that your administration has made such a big deal about I truly hope that you'll be in it for many many years to come. You guys have short memories maybe you should dig into all the threads about NDSU when we joined the GWFC and started our transition or how if you guys were to go DI the BSC would come running.
Those teams joining the GWC are teams that you could ALWAYS schedule. It's just that you don't really want to if you don't have too. There's nothing to be gained by playing them, they're bottom of the barrel schools. I don't care about und scheduling games but if you think for a second that this arrangement will make scheduling of good teams easier it won't.
You could always schedule the DI independents that are joining the GWC. They are always looking for games. Good luck with it and may you have many years of success against that talented and exciting bunch joining the GWC.
That maybe true but there's more students looking into those programs than med/law schools. One of the reasons I feel that NDSU will over take UND in students is SU getting out the word on these programs which attract more students overall. Now having the most students doesn't mean anything but "having the most students" but UND has been making hay on it since day one.
Top shelf degrees? I'm not going to get in a pi$$ing match on programs - but as a example our Architectural school was just rated as the 18th best in the nation. Our engineering program is 5 times larger than yours, nanotechnology and polymers & coating are rated as some of the best programs in the nation.
That perception is being dispelled by NDSU (and not it a negative way but by excelling in it's own programs). UND has be living off the fact they have the med school thus that equals excellence. That's not woring anymore, you'll see NDSU pass UND this fall in enrollment as more & more high school kids are picking NDSU.
You may need to tell your AD, president and Wayne Nelson that. Anyone reading his article would assume that this is the best thing that has ever happened to und.
You have seen your schedule right? 2nd worst schedule in DI. Only 10 games - 2 straight weeks open, hockey will start by then and fb at und will be forgotten.
Around here you won't hear my stories about either. Most gun accidents are people that purchase a gun (hand gun) for personal protection and don't learn how to properly use it. They don't have their kids learn how to handle a gun (hunter safety) and that's when accidents happen. It's personal responsibility - no different than getting into a car drunk and causing an accident. The NRA magazine is full of AP stories about how gun owners have saved themselves or someone else with a gun. The trouble with the national news media is all they report are the accidents.
Of all the guys that you may pi$$ off Davek, I think Ted would be the least likely to shoot you. Actually Ted is a bow man. He mainly hunts with bow and arrow. Your fear of guns is like all the other lefty's out there, they fear things they don't know or understand.
Lets see Ted Nugent - Great family man, married for 30+ years, anti drug, anti smoking, teaches hunter safety, travels to Africa to hold benefits to feed the hungry, has a great moral compass. Yea the man is scum!
