Top shelf degrees? I'm not going to get in a pi$$ing match on programs - but as a example our Architectural school was just rated as the 18th best in the nation. Our engineering program is 5 times larger than yours, nanotechnology and polymers & coating are rated as some of the best programs in the nation.

Didn't say they did. Face it - the GWC is only a scheduling alliance nothing more.

That perception is being dispelled by NDSU (and not it a negative way but by excelling in it's own programs). UND has be living off the fact they have the med school thus that equals excellence. That's not woring anymore, you'll see NDSU pass UND this fall in enrollment as more & more high school kids are picking NDSU.

Really you think ALL these schools would had agreed to go DI 10 years old? 5 years ago? Is that why UND and USD are in their current situation?

You have seen your schedule right? 2nd worst schedule in DI. Only 10 games - 2 straight weeks open, hockey will start by then and fb at und will be forgotten.

Around here you won't hear my stories about either. Most gun accidents are people that purchase a gun (hand gun) for personal protection and don't learn how to properly use it. They don't have their kids learn how to handle a gun (hunter safety) and that's when accidents happen. It's personal responsibility - no different than getting into a car drunk and causing an accident. The NRA magazine is full of AP stories about how gun owners have saved themselves or someone else with a gun. The trouble with the national news media is all they report are the accidents.

Great West Conference is a recognized conference. A small one but a NCAA recognized conference.

At least NDSU fans know what's going on instead of the non reporting going on at UND. The big difference is NDSU was a leader in their transition to DI and guess who is following.

Actually scheduling these teams are easy as they are independents that are alway looking for games. So called conference championships - well I think even student athletes can figure that one out. Good luck wining all those "conference championships" I can already see the banners hanging!! I think this is more about taking the pressure off the AD for finding a conference. Now you have one.

Also interesting that he has no DI recruiting ties.
