  1. Were there any openings in the USHL Head Office? It is a business after all.
  2. Some familiar names from the past several WCHA seasons. Congrats Jason! http://www.theuhl.com/press.aspx?rid=2785
  3. Your question mark speaks volumes and is probably your most accurate and acceptable post to date.
  4. True, and no one is saying that Marto won't be a good DI player. However, unless Lee leaves who would Marto displace from current D rotation. As it is, I think we all agree that Genoway is going to likely play forward to accomodate Lapointe.
  5. I know Gregoire is an 08 but earlier in this thread some had left him off of their 08 list and maybe they have added him since. We have been through the LOI argument before and it is difficult to imagine how UND will fit Marto onto the the team unless Brian Lee really is going Pro. Or perhaps he will be a red shirt for the upcoming season?
  6. Once again, I see several of you posting that Marto is on the team and Hamilton is gone. Are some of you connected enough to know this is fact or are these your fantasy rosters? Some of you have alredy forgotten to add Gregoire for next season.
  7. Put him on the same line as Hextall when the Sioux play DU and there won't be any problems for UND whatsoever.
  8. I would be willing to bet DU originally offered Gregoire a full scholarship for the upcoming season and perhaps they can't honor that offer. In which case the kid has decided to look elsewhere. If this turns out to be the case, perhaps this Donald (or should I say Daffy) Duck character should think more carefully before he writes about schools who over recruit. A buddy in Winnipeg just told me on the phone that he thinks Gregoire has committed to UND so now we await the official good news.
  9. Let's see if we can put this into perspective for you. Based on your posts to date your passion appears to be chasing jockstraps, and perhaps you are very talented at it and ready to move on to the pros. If I were to offer you an incentive laden contract that could earn you several million dollars a year to leave school and pursue that passion professionally would you turn it down? Hint, turning it down would be dumb!
  10. Furthermore, an LOI only guarantees financial aid for one academic year, not a scholarship per the link info. In order to get that financial aid Marto would have to attend and complete that full academic year. I guess he could come in as a walk-on but 9 d-men seems like a crowd to me. http://www.hsbaseballweb.com/loi_freq_questions.htm
  11. Where and when was it confirmed that Marto will be part of next years roster, and if so could you please provide the link. The reason I ask is because I doubt there is room for him if Lee stays.
  12. I am disappointed that you would care enough about what is written on another teams site to generate a thread out of it. Clearly the other teams didn't follow the Sioux close enough to see that it was the D who was doing all the scoring while the O and T were either injured or playing elsewhere. The story of Duncan's entire hockey career has been no respect and I honestly believe that, like Martin St Louis, he enjoys proving all the doubters wrong each and every season. Other teams can only dream of having a player with a heart as big as Dunc's.
  13. Looks like the mascot with the big Zero on it's chest (how appropriate) is smoking a cigarette so I'm not even going to ask what transpired.
  14. No way, those big shoulders dish out the hurt, normally to tiny and frail Gopher egos.
  15. The rumour on TSN was that Tallon wasn't originally offering all of the salary incentives that a number 3 overall pick typically receives or deserves. Perhaps the incentive offer has changed dramatically as a result of Toews performance at the World Championship. If he winds up with a package that puts him in a position to earn close to $3M next season how can anyone on this site believe he will be back.
  16. He just won a men's championship so he was right in there with the the team enjoying the bubbly and there isn't a thing Chief Wiggum and his boys can do about it.
  17. Canada defeats Finland 4-2 to win the Gold and Commodore seemed more excited than Toews. I guess winning Gold has become too routine for Jonathan as despite Canada's hockey history he is the first Canadian player ever to win Junior and Men's Gold in the same year.
  18. Still haven't found the video of just the goal but select picture #10 for a fourth image that compliments those three http://www.hockeycanada.ca/index.cfm/ci_id...ameID/24469.htm Finally, you can watch the goal in this TSN Report: http://broadband.tsn.ca/tsn/?vid=7633
  19. Toews goal stands as the winner in a 4-1 Canada win. Going for Gold tomorrow against the Finns at 12 Eastern
  20. When TSN posts the highlights to their site you have to watch the goal scored by Toews! He has the building and analysts buzzing about that one. Canada is up 3-0 after one period of play in their semi-final against Sweden.
  21. go Zach &*%^$%^$
  22. The US is really picking up their play, maybe they can draw the Finns into another Penalty.
  23. Someone (perhaps it was Goon) asked me earlier in the season how the Alberta Junior Hockey League stacked up against the other Tier II leagues in terms of quality. Based on the most recent evidence, perhaps Frattin and Eidness played in the strongest league as the Camrose Kodiaks have dominated the Royal Bank Cup tournament thus far. http://www.tsn.ca/canadian_hockey/news_sto...canadian_hockey
