  1. The Summit League makes the schedule. This setup is called Mirror Scheduling where the M & W play the same opponent every night, one at home while the other is away. This is the way it was done during our time in the Big Sky as well. You probably didn't notice it the last two years of Summit play because with the odd number of teams the schedule got wonky at times. The mirror schedule ensures that each school has a home game every week during league play.
  2. Two seasons in a row that a player quits midway through the season right? Not a great trend.........
  3. It will be interesting to see his response to the possibility of Kansas City leaving. Missouri Valley is meeting next week I believe to decide on expansion. Kolpack has tweeted out that UMKC basically has one foot out the door. Going back to 9 teams is really going to stink for league play in basketball. It would be nice if Fenton has a plan to stop the Summit from being a transient stop-gap league. That is probably unlikely given that none of his predecessors could keep the revolving door of the conference closed since its inception.
  4. Find a way to get North Dakota back into the Big Sky.............
  5. Seems like this team is full of role players, but there isn't a single difference maker on the roster. They play hard, it seems like they are coached well, but unfortunately there honestly just isn't a lot of DI talent on the team.
  6. No ESPN stream for the ladies game against the Bobcats today?
  7. As always, 3rd and Forever is kryptonite for our defense........
  8. I remember when the area where the strip malls on the Bronson Property were being developed, they talked about how it was going to be smaller "DinkyTown" like neighborhood. In the end it became home to things like a Credit Union and an office of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Unfortunate really, you'd think the right bars and/or restaraunts could do really well in that area, but apparently not. My guess is the cost of operating on that property is too expensive for certain businesses.
  9. So, final attendance for the season comes in at 9,661. That's the highest average for the season since 2017, not coincidentally which also was a season after winning a conference title. NDSU game was obviously the highest attended game of the year, and was the first sell out at the Alerus since 2017 against Montana St. Wiki is updated.
  10. Agreed! Was fun to watch some Big Sky basketball again....
  11. There is literally a whistle on every sing possession it seems......
  12. Damn, I was planning on getting some November golf in the St George area during that 2024 game. Real world problems for me!
  13. Bochenski mentioned on the radio this week about an announcement on November 15 about some company coming to GF, something Agri-Business related. Anyone have inside info?
  14. Anybody have luck with NCHC tv app on Amazon fire stick? I just get a black screen when clicking on game.....
  15. 3rd and more than 10 has been kryptonite to the UND defense since the move to Division I......
  16. I believe it is Premier Equipment building a new home.....
  17. Whether or not that happens is more up to the O-Line than it is to Weah........
  18. Let's see if they can run the ball two straight weeks before making that claim............... It seems to me the loss of the 3 Offensive lineman from last season has been devastating so far.
  19. O-Line play wasn't good against NDSU, USD, and Utah St. It's hard to "commit" to the run when our O-Line is overmatched. They weren't overmatched today.
  20. Plenty of blame to go around, but man, it's been a long time since we've had a good kicker. I'm not supremely confident in Stage making that last kick either, and Stevens was 20 yards wide of the goal posts. It wasn't close at all. There were a lot of things that could have been done differently today from all phases to avoid the game coming down to a 48 yarder from the backup kicker. On the other hand, if the kicker could have converted the two that were less than 40, he wouldn't have been in that position at the end of the game.
  21. I think we may need to accept the possibility that Weah's breakout season last year was perhaps mostly the product of exceptional Offensive Line play last season. North Dakota's O-Line has been largely inept this year against Utah St, NDSU, and USD.
  22. You are right we don't have a burner. This year we also don't have that Wanzek/Toivonen guy and that is really hurting. Maag should be that guy but seems to be battling injury. Given the changes at WR and OL, this offense is it different than last season.......
