  1. Well apparently so am I!
  2. they MUST punch it in here........ crap QB sneak fails.
  3. This team is not playing very good football............. Perhaps last week was not an abberation.
  4. 1 play for NIU= TD
  5. I deleted one of the duplicate game threads, they were both posted at 6:01.......... Sorry SiouxMD, you drew the short straw.
  6. Mussman said so in the press conference yesterday.
  7. I"m gonna guess........... Northern Illinois ......21 North Dakota ...........20 Seems like a better matchup for our favorite squad..............and I can't remember the last time we were embarrassed two weeks in a row. I will also predict that Goska plays just one 4th quarter series that will result in 3 first downs, one 20+ yard gain, and no points. SUTTON + MURRAY + GOSKA = THE VEER........................
  8. Yeah.........what Iceberg said........ The actual channel "Fox College Sports" is not available on DirecTV............however, all of their live/exclusive programming is. Basically, FCS LIVE broadcasts, which include North Dakota football, hockey, and basketball can be found on DirecTV, but not the coaches' shows from UND or any other school. To sum up: the games are on, but not all of the other bull crap..........................
  9. On Sioux Sports Extra last night, Brian Faison was interviewed and he talked about the new infield at Kraft, said that there would be an addition to the Wellness Center to house the tennis program, and said they are "well on their way" to raising the funds for an indoor training facility that will include an 8 lane 300 meter track and a full 100 yard football field that will be built on the site of the old REA..................
  10. I moved the last 17 posts to the 2010 Season thread............................
  11. It looks to me like the best option may be to put Goska, Murray, and Sutton in the backfield and run the veer........ There is nothing wrong with the Pistol, but running a no-huddle with an immobile offense is questionable at best.
  12. I'm not really sure that anything other than live game broadcasts make it onto the DirecTV version of Fox College Sports.
  13. Do you really believe that UM gives a flyin' frick about MSU?......
  14. The Idaho game is going to be on Altitude.
  15. What he said........... Basically, the games that make it on the DirecTV version of FCS, are live games that are "exlcusive" to FCS. The cable version of FCS (Atlantic, Central, Pacific) grabs games from the 15 or so Fox Regional sports channels in addition to the "exclusive" FCS games. If you have the DirecTV SportsPak, you'll find everything that airs on "Fox College Sports" as far as game broadcasts go, just not all the coach's shows or highlight shows.
  16. I increased my donation........... Not because I wanted to see the name go, but because I could afford to right now, and I am first and foremost a supporter of the University, its students, athletes, and coaches, due to my time and experiences while attending school there..................I don't pay attention to UND because of any arbitrary moniker, whatever it may be.
  17. I like the Alerus................... I'm hardcore, and would be there no matter where the games were played...........but I'd think twice about hauling my little kids 100+ miles for a football game in November when it is snowing, sleeteing, and blowing outside. I think people are down on the Alerus the last couple seasons, but IMO attendance issues aren't tied to the venue so much in this case...................I wasn't there in for the 2001 playoff run, but I was for the 2003 playoff run........................nobody will ever convince me that Memorial would have provided a better atmosphere during those LOUD playoff games against North Alabama, Pitt St., and GV than the Alerus did. WIN....................and they will come!
  18. It's not Sanford...............it is me! In accordance with the tradition of referring to the hockey arena as "The Ralph", and the football stadium "The Al", I've asked the practice facility be officially known as "The Bin".
  19. Absolutely agree with everything you say............. Just sayin' I'm not now, nor in the next 5-10 years, going to get bent out of shape about having one DII, DIII, or NAIA on the schedule, because I think that is what it takes to make ends meet. Quite alot of FCS programs use the same model. Especially given the fact that we play in a sparsley "FCS populated" region of the U.S., and have to find 7 non-conference games each year.
  20. Iceberg, could you expand on this potential problem?......... The reason I ask is because for the last two seasons, the transponder I scan in is always exactly 3 MHz off of the published coordinates. This is on virtually every channel I tune in on my FTA system, which is motorized.
  21. You are correct on all of your assumptions............. USD hasn't released their TV schedule yet, but their last two home games with North Dakota were televised on Midco. SDSU has a poor track record regarding television...........but their new A.D. may have different ideas than his predecessor. I'm confident that at least one of the games in South Dakota will be televised.............
  22. Thanks for the heads up! That brings the number of TV games for North Dakota to 5.......................
  23. As far as Sioux Falls go, I'm not really on board with the "buy them out or else" crowd. It's quite likely that more often than not in the world of DI FCS football, we will have at least one sub-DI opponent in a given year. I really don't care if it is Sioux Falls, Humboldt State, or Grand Valley............it is just a reality to make the economics of college sports feasible. To me, it is no different than a Texas Tech or Idaho playing North Dakota.
  24. Seeing as how North Dakota, NDSU, and SDSU all just completed their 2010 schedules back in April & May, I'm not too worked up about not having the 2011 slate finished up more than a year before the season starts. I'd suspect that there are very few D1 level schools that do have their 2011 schedule completed now.
