When we moved to DI, I assumed that North Dakota would experience an attendance boost simply due to the novelty of DI just like NDSU, SDSU, and UNC did. I believe USD did as well. As far as I know, North Dakota is the only former NCC school that saw a decline in attendendance after the the move to DI. Given the poor attendance of the games against #16 Cal Poly in 2009 and against #24 USD for the defacto GWC championship game in 2011, I've come to the conclusion that Grand Forks-area sports fans don't care who UND is playing, just that they are winning games........................I think it would also boost attendance alot if the football players could skate.................

Boo on this loss..................

It's a bit early to be putting much stock into the RPI rankings. Regardless this is a game that North Dakota should be favored to win. Now the guys just need to execute. If they limit turnovers, they would have walked away from Montana. The same will be true tomorrow............................

I think the top 5 seeds look pretty even this year, and a case could be made for each of them to win the title. It will be hard for me to pick against the home team in any game that the Top 5 seeds are playing in. I actually think that #1 seed Sam Houston may be the weakest of the 5................I can't argue with them being the #1 seed since they are undefeated, but I also think they play in the weakest conference among the top 5................
-
I think NDSU will be tough to beat at home. And they'll end up with a pretty easy draw in their first game.

7,400 for the University of South Dakota...............a match-up of two Top 25 teams..........for the conference title.............for the 109th time.........for the last time ever............................ This is evidence to me that most potential attendees of a North Dakota football game (save for those that post on this site) really don't give a rip about who we are playing...................

If tonight is any indication, the depth of this team could be a huge asset. If Wilmer can stay healthy, I like the defensive aspects of the post area with Brekke, Archer, Mitchell, and Wilmer. As far as the guards go, with Schuler, Webb, Anderson, Antwi, and Goodman................things are looking up..............
