  1. OVER OR UNDER: 18 members of Bisonville will downplay NDSU's loss to North Dakota because it "means nothing" and it is North Dakota's "Super Bowl"
  2. OVER OR UNDER: 70% Freethrow shooting as a team for the season
  3. OVER OR UNDER: 1 game in the NCAA Tourney
  4. OVER OR UNDER: 10,000 in attendance at the Fargodome for North Dakota-NDSU basketball
  5. OVER OR UNDER: .500 overall winning percentage for the season
  6. I don't know if "excited" is how I would describe how I feel about the defensive backfield. Definately curious. Hopeful maybe?
  7. Jameer Jackson Dominique Bennett Cordero Finley Garrison Goodman Seth Nichols
  8. OVER OR UNDER: 1 ------ As in the number of games North Dakota will still have left to play after March 9. Basically, do you think they'll be one of the 7 teams in the Big Sky tourney?
  9. Under NCAA is stupid and will make him sit.
  10. I think the main difference is that now the proverbial shoe is on our foot................................ I criticized the NDSU-SDSU rivalry as much as anyone back in the day. Personally, my reason was because NDSU mostly ignored SDSU's existence for the prior 100 years that they had been regularly competing against each other. Prior to 2003, the top NCC teams like North Dakota, NDSU, UNO, and UNC viewed SDSU with little difference compared to Augustana and Mankato. To their credit, SDSU all the sudden got competitive, and had some football success for the first time in the history of the school. Had that not happened, and had they not beaten NDSU a few times early on in the DI era, my guess is that most NSDU fans would still be hardly noticing SDSU. Kind of like how North Dakota fans hardly notice USD. It seems to have worked out well for both institutions. I think a trophy with Montana St. could be fun. But just awarding some trophy to the winner each year won't make it a rivalry. That has to be built on the gridiron with close games, meaninful games, late hits, illegal blocks, and trash talking. And my guess is that Northern Colorado would be more open to a travelling trophy than would MSU, and that doesn't sound nearly as fun. But it would have to be one of those two, because it would be stupid to have a travelling trophy for a game that is not played annually.
  11. OVER OR UNDER: 12 conference wins
  12. I'll push on that. We can get a sell out or two if the team is having success. I'd say best chance will be Saturday, January 12 against Montana St. There is hockey agasint C.C. that night so I don't know if that hurts or helps. Students should be just back from Christmas break. There have been a handful of sell-outs at the Sioux Center over the years. Ones against South Dakota and St. Cloud come to mind specifically for me. If this program can prove to consistently become a top 4 or 5 team in the Big Sky, I think attendance will see a huge bump. Grand Forks loves a winner.
  13. That is a brutal stretch in November to start the season. Possibly 1-4 heading into the NDSU game (I believe Crown is an exhibition). January will be a key month. We play 4 of the top 5 Big Sky teams from a year ago in a span of 14 days. Luckily 3 of them will be at the Sioux Center. It is also not real friendly during the last week of February having to travel to UNC, EWU, and PSU who finished 5th, 4th, and 3rd in the conference last season. A spot in the conference tournament could hinge on what happens in those 3 games. Anybody know if the UNI game is part of a future home-and-home? This schedule is a great example of why I've always felt the Big Sky was the most desirable conference option for North Dakota. You've got 4 games with regional intrigue against Montana and Montana St., 2 games against one of the most recognizable Mid-Majors in the country against Weber St., two games against a familar foe in Northern Colorado, and still have non-conference games with regional appeal against NDSU, SDSU, and UNI. Only South Dakota is missing as far as an attrative regional low/mid-major school. I like it. Although I'd rather see a road game against an Iowa St., Iowa, Nebraska, Drake, or Minnesota instead of that long trip to Hawaii. Hopefully with the nickname controversy hopefully behind us, we can get on some Big 10 schedules going forward.
  14. I think it is a good idea as well. I always thought it was lame when the Sitting Bull trophy was retired.
  15. I don't know how much "mentoring" a new transfer that will only be around for one year and is completely unfamiliar with the system can provide to youngsters like Mollberg and Bartels. But I'd think competition between Hanson and Bradley can only make each of them better players in the future......................
  16. If he is as good as geaux_sioux says, I can buy 20, but 30 would be a stretch, IMO. Freund holds the school's TD record at 24. And he set it in a year that arguably had the two greatest Sioux receivers of all time playing at the same time in Dressler and Trenbeath. I know there is alot of potential in North Dakota's receiving corps, but basically there is one proven stud (Hardin), a bunch of high hopes (Jackson, Ivery, McGill, etc) and a newbie transfer QB. 30 TDs is alot to ask of such a group. But I would love to see it happen........................... On the other hand, if Hanson proves that he can fling it, and the youngsters prove they can catch it, I KNOW that Coach Mussman is gonna want to chuck it around............................
  17. Shorth answer is no. From what I understand, if it is on Root, that is the only avenue that it will be on.......................
  18. Since Sacramento St. and Northern Arizona are travel partners, and Weber and Idaho St are travel partners, I think we can safely assume that we will be playing at Northern Arizona on 1-26-13, at Idaho St. 1-3-13, and will host Idaho St. 2-2-13. Nov 14th: Crown College (EXHIBITION) Dec 5th: UMKC Jan 3rd: @ Idaho St. Jan 5th: @ Weber State* Jan 17th: Eastern Washington* Jan 24th: @ Sacramento State* Jan 26th: @ Northern Arizona Jan 31st: Weber State* Feb 2nd: Idaho St. Feb 14th: Sacramento State* Feb 16th: Northern Arizona* Feb 23rd: BRACKETBUSTERS (TBD)
  19. TSN's All-America Teams. 15 players from the Big Sky Conference including 4 from SUU....................
  20. And you forgot hockey too.
  21. Buy or sell: Desmond Howard was a better pro receiver than Jerry Rice because Howard played I-A ball and Rice played I-AA ball
  22. Walker was an exceptionally good QB, but I'd say your statement is a stretch at best. Add Klosterman to geaux_sioux's list.......................
