Pick a QB and stay with him. When you have 2 quarterbacks you have no quarterbacks.

Just flat dropped by Jackson.............

Lets run it like that all night..................

North Dakota got swept by Portland St . today
-
Montana leads UNC 33-10 now. I think the Griz are going to rack up a pile of rushing yards against North Dakota in a couple weeks................................
-
It pains me to say it, but in my opinion the biggest reason Youngstown looked so bad is because Fargo is so darn good. They have a very good team again this year. I also watched the Southern Illinois game. They beat the #9 team in the country in ISU, and they looked pretty bad while doing it if you ask me. I think it is looking like the MVFC is quite top-heavy this year. Pretty big drop off after Fargo if you ask me. I think every ranked Big Sky team would handle every ranked MVFC team pretty easily with the exception of Fargo.

300 rush yards is pushing it, but I think they'll have a good day running the ball, and that bodes well for North Dakota. I would find 5 sacks difficult to believe given that I think we have 5 on the entire season. I expect Hardin, Jackson, and Golladay to have good days. All of the recieving corps will. What is the status of RJ McGill? Both teams will score over 40............

Given what we've seen from Jones' teams over his time here, I'm thinking North Dakota will finish in the top half of the league standings, and then go on a run through the post-season tournament. Even going back to NCC days, his teams have normally been playing their best basketball at the end of the season....................

Hendrickson is my guy as far as I am concerned......................... He's lost to an FBS school and to a Top 20 FCS school. And neither of those two losses had anything to do with his play.................

Ever the homer that I am, I am going to say North Dakota 45, Eastern Washington 42......................... There will be no defense played by either team in this game. Neither team has proven that they can stop the run, but at least North Dakota has shown glimpses that they can run the ball a little bit. I figure both offenses will throw for 300+ yards, but North Dakota will be more effective at running the ball than will EWU, and they'll put together a long drive in the second half to seal the deal, ala Sac St................ The key will be to keep the Eagles out of the Red Zone................ The red turf will bother those of us watching the game alot more than it will the players....................... These two teams are seemingly mirror images of one another. Based on last season, who would have thought that?

Given the attenadance so far? Yes..............

The environment for Cal Poly was great, although the actual attendance number was disappointing. I think homecoming against NAU will crack 10,000..............but it will be all downhill from there........
-
Prior to the start of the season, I figured EWU would win this game easily. That was when I assumed that North Dakota would have a mediocre offense, a good run defense, and horrible pass defense. Through 5 games, basically the opposite of all those assumtions appears to be true. Heading into the year, I thought Cal Poly and Portland St. would be the best possible matchups for us, because they want to run it down the opponent's throat, and that is what UND excelled at defending. Apparently, we cannot stop the run, but we have pretty much scored at will on everyone, save for CP which is the best defense we will probably see all year. I'm not going to be so bold as to predict a win, but given what I've seen over 5 weeks, and as surprising as it seems, North Dakota will probably fare better in a track meet with the Eagles than they did against the smash-mouth meat-grinder that the Mustangs brought to Grand Forks last weekend...............
-
My prediction is that with Cal Poly not having the Cats, the Griz, or the Eagles on the conference slate, they are going to get the auto-bid. At the very most, I only see 2 losses on the rest of Poly's schedule: EWU and NAU. And at this point, I don't think they'll lose either of those games, just sayin' they will be the two toughest games left for them, and only one of them will be a league game. Anything can happen, but given what I've seen from CP, even prior to this weekend, I'd be shocked if they finish any worse than 7-1 in conference play....................
-
How on earth could you not just LOVE that fake punt call? Everybody knows that when you fake a punt, it means the coach has "balls", and the coach is "coaching to win" rather than "coaching not to lose".............................
-
Lost the 5th set.......................... UND 7-9 (3-3) on the year.............
-
I'm not ready to jump off the ledge. Cal Poly will probably win the Big Sky this year, possibly even run the table. I just don't get how the D could be so poor against the run, when they were pretty good just a season ago. Going into the season, I just though CP would be a winnable game because of how we match up against them. With the way the season is unfolding, it appears as though North Dakota matches up better this season with teams like EWU, SUU, MSU, ISU etc...........Poly and Portland St. are really the only Big Sky teams who's M.O. is to run it down your throat, and, well, both of them sure did against against the Sioux. This was not a "must win" game, but it sure makes the margin for error much smaller.

NDSU has teams in multiple conferences, and North Dakota has teams in multiple conferences. So, what's the big deal? -
I like the evening games. As someone who drives 100+ miles for all the games, it doesn't blow the whole day for me and lets me get a few things done in the morning and early afternoon. And very few people like beer as much as I do, but it is hard for me start throwing them back at noon..................late afternoon and evening is an entirely different story..........................

FACEPALM........................ I wish I were in a financial position to question how far $14 Million dollars goes..................... Just because they weren't announcing your 30,000 seat retractable roof stadium today doesn't mean this is disappointing in any way. Thank you Mr. Hamm, for investing in North Dakota..............................

I think we should all be focusing on the Fargo vs. Cedar Falls game this weekend rather than "image"......................... -
I'm hoping that the defense plays well in this game. We know that Poly is going to try to run it. They've been good games and a good match-up for us during the Great West years. I hope it continues.
