  1. Nice way to head into the semis. One of the better 20 minutes we have played all year. Play like that against Weber and they will do just fine.
  2. It was ugly in the first half, but the first 8 minutes of the 2nd have been some of the prettiest basketball I've seen all season. Keep it up boys..............
  3. Damn, I've missed Schuler.....
  4. Nice start to the second half
  5. And Huff got an assist, and he should have had another one so that's a good sign...........
  6. Need to get Schuler and/or Benton going. Seems like good things happen when either of those guys play well.
  7. Halftime Stats: FG%: UND 35%, SUU 32% 3pt%: UND 25%, SUU 25% FT%: UND 62%, SUU 50% REB: UND 20, SUU 19 TO: UND 4, SUU 5 Anderson has 7, Huff has 6, Webb and Wilmer have 5, Mitch has 8 rebounds. So far, it has been an exercise in futility by both teams...............
  8. I don't like it. We should be up ten on these guys. No flow.
  9. Wilmer has been missing layups all year but he finishes that circus shot. Nice........... These guys need to stop settling for these long and early three pointers.....
  10. This is ugly ball........

  12. From NBC Sports:
  13. I'd say that he has to. The cupboard is going to be left pretty bare after the 2013-14 season, aside from Hooker and Benton. To his credit, this year not withstanding, Jones has done a pretty good job with JUCOs. Emmanual Little, Earvin Youmens, and OJ Harrison were all good players that he brought in. Obviously this year didn't work out so well, but the little we did get to see Traylor, he was productive.
  14. I also agree that winning the tournament or even advancing to the championship game is a long shot at best. By virtue of finishing in 3rd place and 4 games above .500 in the conference season, I'd declare this season a success, especially given the make-shift roster that Jones had to work with for much of the season. However, I do think UND has proven that they can play with teams at the level of Weber and Montana. They beat the Griz a year ago. They beat NDSU last year, who is playing for the Summit Championship tonight. That was basically the same team a year ago. They had this year's Summit champ beaten without our best player if not for a missed free throw and a miraculous shot to end the game. Coach Jones typically has his teams playing their best basketball at the end of the season. This particular group in the Junior class is now 23-13 in the months of February and March. I'm not about to predict that the Sioux will find themselves playing in the championship game come Saturday night, but I certainly would not be at all surprised if they were.
  15. Congrats to Madi Buck, was honorable mention for the Big Sky All Conference teams..........
  16. Anderson expected to play according to a Wayne Nelson tweet.......
  17. Altitude used to carry the conference tournament, but the league made the switch to Root this season. Root still has contracts with the WAC, MWC, and Pac-12, so they aren't able to begin their basketball coverage until next year.
  18. 94 UND 95 SUU Final 2OT The ladies finish the season with a record of 11-18 (6-14).
  19. Higher........
  20. That is great news for the Summit League. But you'll have to forgive me for not taking what Tom Douple says as gospel. Normally when his lips are moving, it is generally half-truths and misnomers at best that are coming out of his mouth......................
  21. Just having some fun with WILDCAT. I don't much care how we get to the title game, just so long as we get there. I just have it in the back of my mind that 3 different times under Coach Jones, the Sioux were swept in the regular season by South Dakota, and then we beat them in the tournament. Once in the NCC tourney, once in the Independent tourney, and once in the Great West tourney. I'd like to see that happen this year with either Weber or Montana.
  22. Northern Colorado clinched a playoff spot and will be either the #4 or #5 seed, depending on what Montana St. does on Saturday. Montana St. has basically clinched a spot, although not official yet. Will Cherry was in uniform for the Griz last night, but didn't play. Montana, Weber, and North Dakota are the only teams in the league that will finish with a winning record in conference play.
  23. Results, 3/7/13: 87 EWU 73 ISU 63 Montana 52 Sac St 66 Northern Colorado 58 Southern Utah 80 Weber 52 Portland St. 83 Montana St. 79 Northern Arizona
  24. Nah, I hope Weber wins. It would be a lot more fun to knock them off en route to the championship game.
  25. Fargo U. has obviously pumped a lot of money into their city owned facility. It is top notch at the FCS level. They have some of the best football offices in the country, and that can lend a lot to on-field success. There are many reasons why North Dakota needs this Indoor Practice Facility, and quite honestly, competition with Fargo football is the main one.
