We are fighting against SELA now, not Nicholls. I think we would have been better off If SELA would have won the AQ. Instead of bouncing around on the bubble with what would have been a 7-5 Nicholls, who was shut out by Sam Houston, and is 16 spots below us in Massey, we will possibly be measured against 7-4 SELA, who's resume is more comparable to UND's. SELA shut out Central Arkansas. That is a comparable win to Montana St, IMO. Southland probably doesn't deserve to get 3 teams in, but we've seen how this can play out in the past.

Awesome preview as always. Looking to see something positive from this team tonight. Obviously it is early in the year, and there are lots of moving parts trying to mesh together with new players and coaches, but I expected a better showing against Valparaiso. Would really like to come away with a road victory tonight in what I view as a very winnable game.

I don't think NDSU has had to bid for a playoff game for about 8 or 9 years........

From what I heard, there was no real effort to get a 12th game, whether it was a cupcake buy game or an FBS payday, simply because the schedule heading into the season was so daunting. They were rolling the dice that the 2nd bye week was going to be as valuable as an extra win from Valpo type team or a half million dollars from an FBS team, as far as building a playoff resume based on how strong the schedule was.....
