does anyone remember back in the early days of football, when teams would have a football shaped patch sewn into their jersey??? maybe it's just me, but do the opposing goalies all have a patch of white 'x' sewn into the front of their jersey's?? i have never seen soooooooooo many shots end up in a goalies belly watching the sioux this year. it's almost as though they confuse the goalies jersey for the back of the net. just a though

I give him a solid B. this team has underachieved this season, mostly by OUR expectations and what we are used too. This is a new coaching staff as far as their new positions with the addition of eades. With the benefit of the doubt going in thier favor, I'll stick with my B. I think if they can step it up the last half of the season going into the national tournament, anything past the first or second round of the NCAA's would give this staff an A in my book.

this is pretty interesting, pertains to nothing, but interesting none the less. WCHA has had 4 teams all ranked number one on the USCHO poll occupying 8 of 14 weeks atop D-1 hockey. UMD(1), UND(1), UM(5), and CC(1 so far). All of college hockey has 6 combined MICH (2), and BC(4). Further proving the dominance of the WCHA and it's players/coaches. just thought i'd throw that into the mix.

i think eades will be an excellent recruiting mind for our beloved program. with all the connections he must have in canada and with the high schools in minnesota and north dakota from which he drafted his warroad team year in and year out. REA is a much better tool than marvin windows.

i'll give greyeagle props for at least being an idiot on an idiots board and leaving objectivity for ours. would you rather argue with him about stupid things on our far superior format, or read the stupid things on the golden goooofers website where they are all idiots?? are they actually taking cameras and crew out there or just sweeny a camera and cameraman and taking the game of off CC's feed?? if so, why not do it on saturday night also??

i don't know about that, i hear his makeup staff, hairstylists, two of the cameramen, both producers and everyone out in the truck all had to be from minnesota. that was his biggest stipulation in his contract. no canadians or other out of staters allowed on his set.

is anyone as big a fan as me of greg and how he conducts his player interviews between first and second period. I like that he gets the players opinions on the community and college life in general. anyone can research and ask about injuries or stats or whatever, which in itself is interesting. But how cool is it to hear about what these young athletes both sioux and opponents, think about our community. big round of applause for Greg

na, one came close but they gotta swing first, i'm a big boy, intimidation is a good thing, most won't, the one's that will are either brave or stupid, and odds are, they'd beat me down. but they would remember i was there. Even though fylling spent some time on a checking line, in my experiences, the checking line gets the puck up ice, puts it in the corner, and then beats up on the other team for 45 seconds and then get's off the ice with hopefully some momentum for the scoring lines. just my opinion, but they should not be on the ice in the last minute of a one goal game with a pulled goalie. your best penalty kill guys should be on the ice, that's what they do the rest of the game, that is essentially the same situation, and i have a hard time validating having an underachieving senior on the ice in that situation. he hasn't proven a whole lot in his tenure. maybe a decent checking line forward, but not much beyond that. but then too, he's playing college hockey, not me.

thank you shep, i did the exact same thing, why is fylling out there in the last minute watching backes score. accept i was bouncing at the bar waiting for someone looking to get beat down after that,

off the top of my head......their .500 record, lack of intensity, somewhat seeming a lack of complete team play, any (rumored) locker room problems, lack of a setup guy to match a goal scorer, possibility of not making the NCAA's, i would think all these things will help them stick around.

exactly, i try to not listen, i would rather listen to tim and greg then whoever is calling the game on FSSN. Tim is a rediculous homer, but i think greg does a good job of negating that by being a color first, sioux second kind of guy. he's not afraid to be critical of the sioux or complementary of the opposition. Woog is a sickening homer, much like tim, but mazocco is a first rate dumb !@$!. Hell, even some of the ESPN announcers don't belong in a game. give me clement, panger, and buccigross. those three are the bomb. but yes greyeagle, MUTE is a very valuable button on the remote for almost anything on FSN.

he was watching backes put the biskit in the baskit with 3.8 left on saturday night. he was as much a spectater as the other 11.5 in the plush leather seats. he just had a better view.

can anyone name someone besides zach and brandon who came in and lived up too and exceded all the hype in the first half of thier freshman year, much less their entire freshman year.

i dont' think that anyone is saying that. I agree with you whole heartedly. you do need defense and goaltending to win games. with your two starting goalies with GAA's around 2-2.5, that tells me they aren't giving up an obscene amount of goals. the about .500 record tells me they aren't scoring that many goals either. and by watching the games, and watching these boys try and make the pass across the slot for the pretty goal through the sprawled out defensemen to the other forward being molested by the other defensemen tells me they are more worried about the pretty goal than they are about the goal itself. in some instances, selfishness can be a good thing. SHOOT THE PUCK. CRASH THE NET. SCORE THE GOAL.
