  1. this couldn't be more true. When i used to play hockey, up through high school, i was never the fastest kid on the ice, i wasn't ever the best player on my team, but the one thing i did more than anyone else on my team was shoot the f'n puck, and as a result, came away with alot of goals...and assists. I learned at a very young age something these college, i'm sorry, NCAA Division 1 drafted by NHL teams, kids apparently have not learned. you do not score if you do not shoot the puck. it does not go into the box score as "pretty". you get into the slot--shoot, if it doesn't go in, rebound. you come down on a two on one --shoot, if you don't hit him square in the chest or put it off the glass in the corner(which UND does alot of), rebound. SHOOT THE PUCK AND CRASH THE NET. I don't think i had a whole lot of spectacular coaching in my days as a youth hockey player, but then again, this isn't all too complicated of a philosophy as hockey goes.
  2. you could probably fill the old REA with more intense people trying to fill that wish by crapping in their hand than you could get intense people cheering on a hockey team in the new REA.
  3. for those in the greater grand forks area, elvis works at the mini mart by I-29 and hiway 2
  4. I wanna know why quinn fylling is on the ice saturday night in the final 30 seconds just watching the mankato player pot the game winner with 4 seconds left. everyone is has a man (even though some out of position) but fylling standing there just watching a man stand wide open on the goal mouth waiting for the puck. just a thought
  5. man i hope stafford can continue to do this with the kelly green and white on. 2-2 on a one timer by drew from suter and another (didn't catch who)
  6. if that's not tim and tim, then you're not listening to the same one i am (from that link)
  7. I would personally love to see him do that and have belle just absolutely flatten him. it's been an awesome tourney, but that would seal the deal. to see a large sumbitch pancake an arrogant russian, my wwe tickets would be on e-bay cuz it doesn't get any better than that.
  8. i am a huge crosby pimp. I think he is the real deal. one thing i have noticed about him in the tournament is the shortness of his shifts. It seemed to me that whenever his line was out there. they would get the puck up ice, get an opportunity, backcheck, and then he'd come off on a line change while burgeron and the right winger got the puck in the offensive zone and started cycling. make's me curious about his conditioning. Great finisher, great setup guy (bergeron has seen some uber sweet setups himself from crosby), and he's a hard worker down in the corners, he almost always came out with the puck.
  9. best D-man in tourney goes to either phaneuf or belle. no questions. try take the puck out of the corner away from either one of them. they both have contributed offensively, but they don't get bigger or better than those two at this level of competition
  10. could you maybe email them to me, i have a nice collection of jr photo's and if it wouldn't be any trouble, would that be possible??
  11. i've heard he'll play possibly 2 maybe 3 years. his parents want him to ge an education. i've also heard he's predicted to go late 2nd round in next years draft, so that might bode well for sioux fans and get him to stay since he won't get the big signing bonus.
  12. that's exactly my point. the amateurish antics didn't need to be done. that's bush league. i hope Mr. Phaneuf unloads on 8-ball from russia, and Mr. Belle decides that enough is enough with Ovechkin and those two ass clowns find out exactly how the other half lives.
  13. the hand to the ear thing should get you an andy schneider-university of manitoba kid-like beatdown. closed circuit to team russia- you will get that opportunity to get beat down shortly----let's say tuesday--8ish. You do not show up the other team. you beat them in the corners, you beat them in front of the net, and you beat them on the scoreboard.
  14. i've been to all but one of the team canada games, and i have to say, them crazy drunk canucks are fun to watch. they are all about the game of hockey, their country, and a box of beer for their hoser buddies. we had one bad experience with two of them screaming in our ears, which was fine until they starting dropping the F-bomb repeatedly. their were plenty of kids around, and there is just no room for that. One big sumbitch sitting near by had two little kids with him and was about to pummel these two canadian fans until they noticed him stand up and give em a look. they continued to yell without the vulgarity. all in all, canadian fans are more what sioux hockey fans should be like, with the stray exceptions, they are all about hockey and their team and will cheer them on no matter what the situation. F#*k the Russians Go CANADA, our garage and native neighbour Go SIOUX
  15. i wanna throw this one out there for ya'll to debate. Does anyone think that Gretzky would flourish in today's game as much as he did in his era of NHL??? i'm not taking anything away from gretzky's skills and pure ability to play the game of hockey. He is and will always be one of the if not the greatest to play the game.
  16. i would be willing to bet that if you took a photo of the lower bowl during the usa games, and a photo of the lower bowl during the canada games, you would be able to piece the puzzle together and make a full lower bowl. point being some canadian fans with lower bowl seats aren't going to the us games and vice versa
  17. that's all i have for sweden, but i have some of canada, sydney, some of the awesome canadian fans
  18. http://ralphsworldjr.com/New2/index2.php?page=TP it might take a while to get into the site as i'm sure it's being viewed religiously during this tourney.
