  1. Here is the article even though I have no idea how legit Canucks Daily is. OHL Player Offered North of $1 Million To Play For Boston College
  2. Well, this is the latest from early Dec: regarding NIL money and BC: Two questions: With NIL money does it matter if your school is a private or public college? wondering if state schools like UND have a disadvantage versus a private school like BC. Second question: Can a big donor specify where the money goes? PS. If this is true, I guess we'll need another Ralph to compete. Michael Misa, a 17 year old Canadian hockey phenom, is making waves in the sports world with news of a lucrative NIL package being offered to him to play for Boston College next season. The $1.4 million deal is testament to his exceptional talent and potential as a top prospect in the 2025 NHL draft.

  5. What they showed in millions for the top 15 were: 1: Providence: 7 2. BU: 7 3: Penn State: 6.5 4. BC: 6.2 5. Northeastern: 6 6. Quinnipiac: 6 7: Minnesota: 5.8 8. Notre Dame: 5.6 9: Omaha: 5.6 10: Clarkson: 5.5 11: North Dakota: 5.5 12: Colgate: 5.5 13: Duluth: 5.3 14: Michigan State: 5.1 15: Arizona State: 5 I was very surprised that Omaha was ahead of us in revenue. How the heck is that happening?
  6. I looked up total hockey revenue by college and Quinnipiac takes in $6 million a year and North Dakota makes $5.5 million. Quinnipiac is ranked 6th in total revenue and UND is ranked 11th. So, Quinnipiac devotes a lot of resources to their hockey program because it makes money. One surprise is Providence is Number 1 bringing in $7 million a year.
  7. In a series like this Berry should have started Hobie on Saturday especially at home. TJ was fine on Friday but who wouldn't be with a 5-goal cushion after one. If Hobie doesn't get a few starts in the next month or so he might start looking at heading someplace where he gets to play, improve, and show how good he actually is. In general, I didn't think TJ made any saves that he wasn't supposed to on Saturday and that second PP goal from the point he should have had. Not screened at all. As you said transfer goalie crap needs to stop and develop or own goalies but hey you have to play in a game to develop.

  10. You are correct that you'll need the middle package for $25.99/month. After some checking with their support, I would NOT recommend getting the annual package with the idea you would cancel right away and get a refund. Their support told me those kinds of cancellations are referred to their accounting department to approve refunds. So, $26 for two games it is, then cancel that month since they are auto renewed.

  12. Yesterday I was adding this next season's hockey games onto my calendar. When I look through the schedule at Fightinghawks.com they only show NCHC.tv and not Midco Sports as TV options. The football schedule shows MIDCO Sports broadcasting the home games. So, I was wondering if anyone knew if Midco is going to broadcast the home hockey games or not this next season?
  13. You forget that Pohlkamp played in the World Juniors this year with Carle as the coach. So, he knows Carle and played defense with Zeev Buium while he was there. So pretty easy to go someplace when you became familiar with the coach and know what to expect.
  14. It is interesting that three of the four schools making the Frozen Four are private schools. They have a lot more leeway in the NIL money and with Michigan being the fourth school it is not surprising that most of the first-round picks are headed to these schools.
  15. Have you ever seen a team as snakebit as UND? So, in this game Ludvig tries to clear the puck and puts it directly on our guy's skate and back into the goal. to tie the game. Third Michigan goal hits not one but two of our guys and flutters over to the Michigan guy all alone on the other side of the net. So we're now down 3-2 and have to chase the game. I can think of so many times our hockey team has either hit multiple pipes or the other team scores off our guy. For example: 2005 Frozen Four in Columbus against Denver for the Championship. Denver won the game 4-1 with an empty netter. First three Denver goals went off a North Dakota Player either a skate or a body. Two of which were power play goals. North Dakota out shoots Denver 21-1 in the third period and does not score a goal. One of which Fabian puts into their goalie (Maninno's glove that is inside the goal. But because the refs say they couldn't see the puck in his glove they disallowed it. Or 2004 Regional in Colorado Springs when Parise was a sophomore. We lose to Denver 1-0 after out shooting Denver 38-9. Only goal Denver scores goes off one of our guys butt. Just feels like we are snakebit when it comes to the national tournament. Argh!!!

  18. Thanks for the congrats. I looked back and the first season I won was 2012-2013 season. The last season I won was the 2017-2018 season when I won twice. Sioux Survivor started in the 2007-2008 season and thanks to siouxforeverbaby it has been going on since then. Thank you siouxforverbaby for doing this all of these years and keeping us all involved in the games no matter the score!
