Some analysis huh, I attended the FN vs GFC game, pretty ugly and both teams showed little jump, didn't seem like an EDC game. Central's goalie stood on his head for the most part and won that game. The FN goals all came in the last 3 minutes, (GFC sat thier top players and gave some handout shifts.) Other than that, you missed Jake Marto's highlight reel goal and an anemic GFC powerplay. Hopefully the rest of the games will have some hop to them.

Wilbur, Sorry to seem if I'm coming down on you, but to think that Jake Statstad deserves any type of accolades made me stop reading the rest of your post. Watch him when he doesn't have the puck. He plays with eggshells in his pockets. He doesn't hit, he doesn't skate and if I was teddy bear (T. Howard) I would sit him for the Grafton game since it is meaningless game. GFC screwed themselves against FS, they will end up with either 4 or 5 seed. Same with North. What I would like to see is him (Statstad) sit and maybe play with some piss and vinegar for the EDC. Watching that team play is watching players going through the motions. I just hope things get straightened out in the next 7 days.

Did you work in a gas station, or are you Archie? No I didn't think so. The reason prices of gas is so high in this town is because three people own most of the gas stations. With the exception of Mark's (and Uni station) which tends to start gas wars for fun it seems like, we always pay more for gas. I think there is some type of collusion going on, sort of a Pepsi and Coke type of competition. If gas stations compete on other amenities other than price than they won't end up with egg on their faces. Free carwashes and other bells and whistles. If anyone wants more info go ask a pump attendant that doesn't work for Archie, they'll tell you that he is the price leader in town, sometimes people follow, sometimes they don't. But if you can make a profit on gas good luck, most fuel distributors are operating on thin margins and making their money on snacks and beverages. $1.29 for a Mt. Do the Sioux want to have this great gaggle of "pipelines" if the players are so good that they do a year or two and bolt? I love their talent but the swagger isn't there the chip on the shoulder isn't there, these are top recriuts not talented players others didn't want (Hoogsteens and Panzers). I enjoy watching them play but I don't want UND to turn into Duke and not have more than a handful of seniors ever, and always be "reloading".

Make it a party atmosphere. Thursday night, dollar beers, dollar drinks. Get people into the games, maybe you'll get them hooked. Find a better time than Sunday at 2pm. that is just horrible to go up against football/hangovers. How about putting games on Channel 23? Someone is flipping through the stations and stops on it, guess what you've got them hooked, you won't see them at that game, but more than likely the second one will. They have played 16 games (exhibitions are exactly that, an exhibit of the talents they posses) so far this season, the regular season is 36 games long. So that is 44% of the regular season. And the largest number of playoff games they could play would be 10: 3 in WCHA first round, 3 in the Final 5, 2 in the regional and 2 for the championship. That is the max amount of games that the Sioux will have the opportunity to play this year. The Season is over a third done and in 14hrs it will be December. Let's drop the "it's early" garbage, and realize that they need to continue to play well and keep lighting up the scoreboard.
