People are losing their minds, picking the Twinkies to win it all. Of course that would be nice to see, but I won't get my hopes up, lots of places were picking the Cubbies (beloved) over the Red Sox last year. Cubs didn't make the playoffs and I shut the television off. Who is going to win it all this year?

Missed the top ten and heard the goal was amazing, does anyone have a link or not. I looked for 10 minutes, but alas I grew tired of seeing soccer shootouts and people trying to reach goals.

Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for him getting hurt, it hurts the teams chances of going far in the playoffs. I also do think he has a chance of becoming All American. But, he was 5th on the team this season in points per game. That doesn't seem very All american to me. Also is PPG dropped from a 1.24 to a .8ppg this may be do to the loss of a pair of studs. Just try and see my point of how this was disapointing, people (me) were expecting at LEAST 1 pt per game for a player with his talent. Anyway... I want some wins this weekend.

Did anyone notice how happy Brian was when he tipped that shot in/ how happy Brant was when they saluted the crowd. This team is happy and playing great hockey. Hopefully the can string 2 (maybe) 3 wins this weekend if that isn't too much to ask. I don't think anyone wants to play them right now.

Duce, didn't ref any of the games that the riders or knights played in the state tournament... until the championship game. In fact he did a fine job in that game, which word is, was his last. So thank you Duce for allowing the kids to play and let the game take its own course. I was really happy with the way Capt. Planet reffed he also let a lot of sketchy calls go, which gave the games a little more flow.

Smith, GFC doesn't put up points but doesn't ever seem to be out of position F - Mihulka RR F - Spies RR F - (1) Campbel GPR Sorry for spellings, one of the RR forwards could be booted for Minot's Willert, but he didn't show up for the GFC game and wasn't noticeable. Same for Fargo's studs. Jake Stadstad has been moving his feet and flying, he could also get that same spot.

Enough already, we know that Minot took a dump, maybe if they wouldn't have been happy with a 2-0 lead things may have ended up different but they were and things stayed the same. I think Jacob Marto will do fine if he ends up in the WCHA playing for UMD, UND, St.Cloud, Uof M, whoever. He has a very quick stick, he is sometimes out of position even now But is able to make up with it with a quick steal, not even a poke check, he pulls it right off someone's stick. GFC will once again have their hands full with "the line" but, if they ALL skate again they can pull it off. RR is scary. They have so much offensive talent that if they put it together they may be able to blow even FS (shaky shaky FS) out of the water. Can't wait for the semis tomorrow....err tonight.

Assuming no one moves on right? I can't wait for Thursday, someone earlier mentioned GFC being in the hurt bag without Garritson, if he doesn't play they are really in trouble. Minot plays the body (from what I'm told) I'm excited for that kind of a game. Was the last West team to win a opening round game in 99-00 when GFC didn't make the tourney and Jamestown/Erstad went as a 4 seed?

Finally stories in regards to poor officiating. I grew up playing in GF, and I once had the worst officiating crew in the history of hockey. Duce, Matt Spivey, and John Colter. I believe it was the RR/GFC game. That is when I wanted to start a grass roots campaign to bring some Fargo refs up for those rivalry games, GPRvs GF schools as well. Do you think having 2 refs makes it easier to eliminate bias'? Meaning one ref can't just control a game. Want a fun game during a Duce state game? Count how many times he blows a face off dead and kicks out the center. For bonus points keep track how many times the team that wins the face off is NOT tossed out.

Do they try and upset the whole rink by not playing a quasi-sketchy play. i.e. I wanted to see what Matt Greene was going balistic about against DU. So I keep watching the screen and ..... nada. Or any of those close goals, I would loved to have seen a replay just once. I don't care who is in the crowd, I want a damn replay. End rant
