  1. Thank goodness you were kidding; I was about to disown you. Seriously though, I've listened to the entire clip about five times and the last three minutes at least an extra six or seven times. It's amazing the publicity this is getting...and we all keep spreading it around.
  2. I'm anxious for the games, and I don't even get to go - that's just to watch it on tv! Of course I'll probably have to work during all of them (as usual), but there is something to be said for having large HD plasma tvs on every wall where you work.
  3. I think it's interesting how a sweep can have such an effect for two teams. IIRC, that sweep started the SCSU craze when they were beating anybody and everybody. But getting swept also kicked the Sioux in gear, and even Dave Hakstol has credited that weekend as the supposed beginning of the momentum.
  4. I'm pretty sure it was already mentioned, but I love their objectivity. Criticizing the Gophers for giving them a 1:30 5-3, but I thought one of the best quotes was saying "That's just not gonna be good enough...They just blew a golden opportunity to tie it up" in reference to the HC power play. I just love the excitement and the tell-it-how-it-is announcing. Amazing clip.
  5. As good as he is, goaltenders take longer to develop, thus, I highly doubt Jordy would leave after this year. And Stafford has to stay another year for the release of their band's CD, which isn't until Nov. or Dec. of 2006.
  6. I love your posts when you drink (and the voicemails, always a classic). Good luck SiouX! What a crappy time for me to have to go to work. Thanks to everyone keeping posts going; I'll be reading them at about midnight tonight. Yeehaw for Kaip!
  7. Keep that puck dude. Wait to go Kaip!!!!! Biggest goal he could have gotten.
  8. Sounds like UW is getting a lot of chances on the PP. Any comments from those of you with tv coverage?
  9. southpaw- what's with the name switch? Oshie almost gets one...awesome pressure on the PP. Badgers at full strength
  10. Thank goodness it's an afternoon game....I actually get to listen to the game before work. UW penalty. UND PP Spirko with a close chance. Good puck movement.
  11. Announcers say Jordy should be on his game today....just because he's so competitive and people say (as is evident by the WCHA awards) that Elliott is so much better. I hope they're right. Go SIOUX!
  12. Hopefully after the week break the Mavericks will come out a little flat footed on Friday night. The Sioux need to take advantage of that while they can, scoring early and often. They can't let Mankato hang around like they did for Tech. This past weekend was great, but the Sioux can't wait until the third period to start scoring goals.
  13. Oh sad day Well, still happy day, I guess, cause the Sioux kicked butt! but just ever so slightly tainted with a gopher win.
  14. Great game by the Sioux! Sparky's still off the scoreboard, but he had a couple of key plays in the game....just keep working, it'll happen. In other related news.....UAA beat Minnesota 4-3. WOOHOO! It doesn't get any better than this (except with a sweep of course)
  15. Do you think Charlotte would be considered 'surrounding area' of Grand Forks, cause I've been waiting a long time to see these games But I'm still going to the sports bar with the smallest hope imagineable...

    DU and UND

That's the last thing that this team needs to do. The Sioux need to focus on winning, not getting a cheap shot on a cheap player. And as discussed for the CC series, several of the players may suffer from the altitude change, so while losing a player for any typical away series may not seem like that big of a deal, the team really can't afford it on this one....especially when so much of the NCAA playoff chances rest on this series. While most people on this board can't stand Paukovich (myself included), we'd all rather see wins and the Sioux make the playoffs than taking him out of the series and having our season be over way too soon.
  17. I wouldn't necessarily say that Hak is sticking to JPar. But it's hard to say no to a guy who got a shutout the night before. I wouldn't really be surprised to see Phil play one of the games against Denver.
  18. Awesome photos. I love the one of Parise basically doing the splits. It hurts just to look at it.
  19. I completely understand. My parents have four tickets to the Frozen Four.....a recipe for disaster when you have five diehard Sioux fans in the family. But now two of us can't go, so an all out death match was avoided.
  20. I was skimming on yahoo sports today and saw an article about Penn State hockey, mentioning a national tournament in March, playing No. 3 Ohio, etc (with Rhode Island ranked as number 1) Does anyone know if this is for club hockey or what? I was just curious with all the people that mentioned wanting Penn State to get hockey. I tried to post a link to the article, but I've never done that before, so it probably won't work. Penn State Hockey
  21. I think we'd all be happy with that right now; but things aren't looking very good.
  22. 120 minutes of good hockey.....not 100, 105, or 110. 120! Come on boys; get it back. Well, now get those two back.
  23. CC player just misses on the backhand.
  24. CC announcers are saying that despite the lower score, North Dakota is definately playing better hockey tonight than they did last night.
  25. I know people have been talking about Stafford's apparent lack of leadership, but while he may be absent from the score sheet, I would think it would be just as inspiring to the team to see him playing while sick as a dog from the altitude as to see him scoring goals.
