Just thought I'd mention that Porter is USCHO's Tuesday at the Rink interview this week.

Undoubtedly the BC game will be close. I think a lot rests on goaltending. But I wonder if the game will be a shootout, like last years game and this year against Michigan, or a tight defensive battle like the games against Minnesota.

I have no doubt that Michigan is using all this as motivation for the "underdog" component.

I should have picked North Dakota to lose to Michigan because I'm always so far off. Last year I actually picked Minnesota to win it all.

I would have loved for UND to win the final five, but in hindsight, it may be better that they lost. Obviously, the team has to get past Michigan first, and I'm not overlooking them by any means (I'm sure Hakstol isn't overlooking them, either). However, if the Sioux had won on Saturday night, they'd be trying to beat Minnesota for the fourth consecutive game in Denver. That's hard to do against any team, yet alone Minnesota. I'd rather give up the final five championship with a very respectable loss and give the guys a quick reminder of the hard work and passion that they came back from Christmas with. And as far as them being in the same regional, if you can't beat your way through the best, you don't deserve the championship. I have little doubt the NC winner will come from that regional. Let's go Sioux!

I'm sorry! I still use a disposable camera for pictures. You should have given your camera to someone who is more technologically advanced.

The service was unbelievably slow, but we got our food free as a result. Nothing sketchy occurred, but I suppose that's the benefit of being there at 11 am rather than at night.

I'm not surprised. UND has an awesome S&D team for both men and women, but the conference is relatively weak. Nebraska-Omaha is the only team that can give UND any competition for women. The independent conference (which has now disbanded) had Drury, Truman, and Missouri-Rolla (all of whom are typically in the top 10 at nationals every year) all in the same conference. NCC, on the other hand, has teams like St. Cloud, Moorhead, and Metro, who rarely make an appearance at the national level.

Feel free to buy an extra set of tickets and pick me up in Nebraska on the way! By the way, it was great meeting everyone this weekend. I can finally put some faces to so many of the posters I'm used to reading.
