I bet Hak said something about possibly giving Walski a chance for the sole reason of giving us fans something extra to debate until the game on Friday.

That crossed my mind too - if it was just a conversation to get Phil fired up, kind of like the response to "I'm thinking of sitting you down, Jimmy" in Miracle. By no means do I think Phil is playing poorly (Friday can hardly be blamed on him). I don't think he should be sat based on performance. My only thought is that IF, mentally, he really does need a quick break (which Hak would know), I'd rather see it this weekend, so he can come back refreshed and start the hot streak. While we'd prob. all be more comfortable with Walski playing against UAA or BSU, those games are late enough in the season where you don't want to be switching things up, because the Sioux should already be on a hot streak. Regardless of who plays, I trust Hak.

I'm sure Tech will play tough (what a shocker in the WCHA). Based on Hak's comments, I wouldn't be surprised to see Walski play one of the nights. Probably Saturday, depending on how Friday goes.

I'd say it's hard to stay sharp when you haven't faced a shot since the first. That being said, that was a soft goal, he should have had that. I vote for not having a third period meltdown this week

Wow. Those lines certainly aren't what I was expecting (except perhaps the 3rd and 4th). Miller must have a had good week in practice. Same with Marto. I don't think there have been many games where he's played and lapoint hasn't - usually it's both or just lapoint. Also, hadn't Roe, Lasch, and Nodl all been playing on the same line together before? I guess they were split for the game against Miami, but just thought that change was interesting too. Both sides are shaking things up a bit. Not long til game time. Let's go Sioux!

Trupp very quickly became my favorite player on this team. I hope his stellar play continues from last weekend and serves to provide a little extra energy and jump to the rest of the team
