With non-conference scores like that, the NCHC will be lucky to get more than just the auto-bid into the tourney.

Haha I was going to suggest that the ice open up and swallow them all whole. That was my hope back when the Stanley Cup finals was the Canucks vs. Bruins...who is the lesser of the two evils?

She's a 7 year old German Wirehaired Pointer. I've known/loved her since she was just a puppy, but she's actually the ex's dog (at least for the next two weeks).

I should probably note that my post was made in jest. However, as someone who worked in retail pharmacy for 6 years (before wisely switching to hospital pharmacy), I'm well aware that pharmacy employees often get lambasted for prior authorizations and other such hoops instituted by insurance companies. Though I understand the reasoning behind prior auths and some of the other hoops (hello cost containment!), most patients don't and choose to take it out on the messenger. That's all I meant!

Haha wrong corner; I live in northern Maine.
-
Patients who blame pharmacies and doctors for things that are actually probably the insurance company's fault

Mine made it out to Maine, so I'd say the odds are in your favor.

Haha I was trying to give the play-by-play guy some slack, but when it took him a full minute into a powerplay to realize that it was 5 on 4 and not 5 on 3...that's sad.

Agree. If you had told me Friday afternoon that UND would split with Miami at Miami, I would have been happy. No one likes to be on the short end of a blow out score, but how the Sioux played through the first two periods (I couldn't watch the third) looked pretty solid. Though I did notice one D who repeatedly got burned and looked incredibly slow. Panz, maybe? As a whole, the scoreboard makes the loss look significantly worse than it was, in my opinion. I'm very excited to see what this team can do once they get a few more games under them.

Haha I understood what you meant, at least! In the summer, it's all about the 4-wheelers (which I don't have ). Pretty soon, it'll be all about the snowmobile. Thankfully, I just started renting a house that includes unlimited free snowmobile use

It was initially given to MacMillian but later changed to OD. So, it's OD's goal.

Pretty crazy to think that Johnny Gaudreau just made the century club only 3 games into his junior season.

I don't have a fancy car to play in all summer.

Those are some pretty stellar prediction skills you have there, Tupa.

I'm really annoyed at the construction going on in the elevator shaft a mere 10 feet from my desk. The jackhammer started at 0730 this morning and is showing no signs of stopping.

I don't know specifically about his numbers (and am too tired to look it up), but I remember seeing Marto play in the USHL and thinking he didn't have much chance to excel at UND. By his junior year at UND, he was the defenseman I would trust the most in a 2-on-1 situation.

Yeah, me too. Oh, wait. I'm driving 1823 miles EACH WAY to go to this series. The plus side is, I go back home with a dog.

For game tickets, there were a ton of good spots still available when I ordered a few weeks ago. With fees, etc., they break down to almost exactly $30/seat.

Hahaha one of many reasons I could never be a nurse!

Oh; I didn't see it. The article I read about it said it was Jocelyn. Either way, it's certainly something that doesn't happen very often on the international level.
-
Looks like Jocelyn ran into the Canadian goalie in Saturday night's game, sparking an all-line brawl between the US and Canada.

Great analysis, RedHockey. Welcome to Siouxsports.

Hearing the sentence "Oh, but I heard about it from Dr. Oz!" from patients.

Since others have noted the debut of their hats, I figured I would as well. I wore mine, along with a Sioux hockey shirt, while hiking up Mt. Katahdin (the highest point in Maine) today. I got some nice comments from a Maine fan who was also at the summit.

I think you have to give Luke and Parks a little more time to develop the chemistry they've started to show. It's hard to show much line chemistry this early in the season, so I wouldn't want to split up one of the good "pairs" you do have.
