  1. And that's part of why the playoffs are so ridiculously fun.
  2. Really? I feel that way about DU and BC too! Go figure they all have relatively the same colors!
  3. When he's roaring drunk. At 1:30 in the afternoon, I'm surprised he's only slightly buzzed!
  4. Wow. All this time I was excited the Sioux were going to Philly. I didn't realize it was actually Wisconsin that made it...
  5. I'd say if anyone is a possible weak link, it's Demko.
  6. Fortunately for us, Gothberg only has to be consistent for 2 more games, not the entire season.
  7. Hopefully these two weeks prove invaluable for injury recovery. Parks had his wrist thoroughly wrapped up this past weekend. I really think MacMillan is injured just based on the fact that he was absolutely dynamic when he first came back from injury and is now relatively unnoticeable. I'm sure there are a ton more that I just haven't noticed yet.
  8. Bryce van Brabant left QU to sign with Calgary. Regarding Oesterle, I believe I read somewhere that he is the 4th D-man to leave WMU early in the past 2 years. Considering it generally takes longer to develop freshman D than F, that's brutal.
  9. Probably because Union fans could drive to Philly faster than it would take to fly from Grand Forks to Philly.
  10. No kidding. It's almost like they don't even care about the Sioux's chances of winning the title; very selfish of them.
  11. Definitely agree on going. I can't rearrange my work schedule for Thursday but, if the Sioux win, I very well might make the 11-12 hour drive down to Philly Friday after work for the championship game.
  12. Agreed. Not saying that the Sioux have no shot or that it would be a cakewalk for the gophers to win. But, pairwise speaking, you have three 1-seeds and a 4-seed. Whoever plays the 4-seed technically got the easier draw.
  13. I actually thought Rocco did an excellent job of that on Saturday night. He was being clutched and grabbed and pulled every which way, yet he kept trying to power through it. I swear Czarnowczan made it his personal mission to repeatedly attack Grimaldi in that game; tripped him behind the net and then cross-checked him hard as soon as Ferris touched up (right in front of the official, though only the trip was called). And Rocco just skated away and kept pushing on the very next shift.
  14. Like a fungus? You might want to get that checked out...
  15. Absolutely. I loved reading the 'File it Away' story on CHN from last night's game. It's one thing for a goalie coach to teach actual logistics. But it's clear from that story that Karl really helps them tackle the mental battle as well.
  16. Gophers handily out-skating St. Cloud. Not sure that means much about the gophers since St. Cloud looked pretty sloppy last night too. Here's to a Sioux- Union championship game!!!
  17. This one isn't looking good for Lowell. They're struggling to get any puck possession/pressure this period.
  18. 1st lead over BC for Lowell all year
  19. He works for Boston College...add a couple zeros to that number!
  20. I was just saying to myself that they're going to need an effective PP this game if they want to win. Haha Lowell with as many PPG today as DU had power play shots yesterday. That is so sad...
  21. A couple players have been losing edges; I wonder if ice quality is an issue.
  22. Wow. You cannot give BC a 3 on 1, regardless of how good your goalie is. 1-0 BC
  23. By the way, thanks for your cable info so I can watch the game
  24. BC-Lowell has a little chippiness already. About 5 minutes in.
  25. I definitely agree with this. For all the crap everyone gives Berry about the collasal failure of our power play, the improvement and growth of the D under his coaching has been incredibly apparent.
