  1. Hey Fighting Sioux fans, my trip to Grand Forks for a hockey/football triple header in November, 2008 seems so long ago. Enjoyed the games, the campus, Grand Forks, and meeting YaneA and SiouxMeNow and his wife. Remember how beautiful the countryside was and how EVERYONE I met in North Dakota seemed like such nice people. I used to watch every game through the Fighting Sioux Sports Network on Fox Sports. Due to some family and job changes, I started to lose touch with the program and with the Sioux no longer being on television rarely caught a game. With the new hockey season starting, I am going to try to start following the program again. I see that YouTube shows North Dakota game highlights. I don’t get home from work until after 1:00 AM Eastern time. Are the highlights usually up by then? Any thoughts from you guys on the upcoming season? Sorry for the long post. Elaine, Mike, and Cary, if you see this, hope all is well out in North Dakota. Go Fighting Sioux ! Go Scarlet Knights !
  2. Not able to see many games since the end of the Fighting Sioux Sports Network, but that was a heck of a game Fighting Sioux fans. Great to have a program that wins so many games year after year.
  3. Haven't been on siouxsports much the past few years (life stuff),but just wanted to congratulate all the Fighting Sioux fans on winning the National Championship. Won't be going to this week's game in New York, but still holding out for a series at Princeton (basically in my back yard). Wish I could still see all the games on TV,but will catch the few on CBSSN. Here's to another banner year. GO NORTH DAKOTA FIGHTING SIOUX !!! GO RUTGERS SCARLET KNIGHTS !!!
  4. I was going over some old threads and noticed you might have a game worn sioux jersey? If so which one is it?

    thanks

  5. Thanks MafiaMan, Some life stuff going on...nothing life and death.--I live about 75 minutes from the Wachovia Center (much less than that from their practice facility here in southern New Jersey). If I can work a Flyers ticket into the budget, I may be the only person in the building wearing a Fighting Sioux jersey next season
  6. New Jersey had about 45 players in NCAA Division 1 hockey this year, but from I am hearing from our athletic department, we won't be adding any new sports for quite a long time. Rutgers does not get the full Big Ten share of TV,bowl games,NCAA Basketball, etc. money for five more years. The figure I keep hearing to start a program and build a hockey arena is over $100 million.
  7. 97.5 FM will carry the press conference live at 12:00 Eastern. Here is the link--http://www.975thefanatic.com/
  8. Greg Schiano--believe me,if he was able to turn Rutgers around,he can do it anywhere GO SCARLET KNIGHTS !!! GO FIGHTING SIOUX !!!
  9. Last night, I couldn't see the Sioux/Vermont game, BUT they did have the Bison/Northern Iowa football game and Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State girls soccer game on AGAIN and something called the Texas High School Football Review Show. Maybe YaneA can just leave her cell phone on during the games and give me play by play !!!
  10. I do get CBS Sports and NBC Sports Network so that is good. I also get the Big Ten Network which (I am sure) will have Wisconsin and Minnesota-Twin Cities games which is bad !!! Nothing wrong with listening to the Fighting Sioux on radio.--Thanks PHE,trying to get my balance back. GO SCARLET KNIGHTS !!! GO FIGHTING SIOUX !!!
  11. Due to various things, I have been away from Sioux hockey and this site since last Winter. Have I missed anything ? Are the Sioux still going to be on Fox College Sports ? What do you guys think of the new league? Which of the new players expect to see a lot of ice team this season? Which veteran players do you see improving this season ? Thanks for any updates.
  12. Wow, This is a long thread.--Thanks to YaneA's thoughtfulness, I may be the only person in New Jersey with a siouxsports.com hat !!! THANK YOU again !!!
  13. I haven't been on the site much lately (life stuff, nothing horrible),but I just wanted to send out a Merry Christmas to YaneA and all Fighting Sioux fans in North Dakota and beyond. God Bless and I hope you and your families have a great 2013 ! GO FIGHTING SIOUX !!! GO SCARLET KNIGHTS !!! B1G R
  14. I doubt I will see Rutgers playing hockey in the Big Ten for at least a decade. As far as I know,we will be in the Big Ten for all sports except lacrosse. Only a few Big Ten colleges have teams. The press conference is set for 2:00 PM eastern time today and will be televised on the Big Ten Network and on the Rutgers website www.scarletknights.com. I can't believe this has finally happening !!!
  15. Although not official, it looks like we wil be admitted to the Big Ten on Tuesday. I have waited since the 1970's for this and can barely wait one more day. Now the question is, can I get the Sioux to schedule home hockey games on weekends that we are playing the Gophers in football? GO FIGHTING SIOUX !!! GO SCARLET KNIGHTS !!!
