Game was in Montreal but Pinto still got a first lap on the ice and first warm-up shot. Said it was an NHL tradition now. Commentaries were very favorable about him "power center- don't hear that often" and "he is a faceoff guy in college, and it looks like he's bringing it here too". He played PK and did well. His late game D zone faceoff went back to the end boards where it was picked up and after getting around the net, was shot for a 200 ft ENG and a point for him as assist. Very nice debut. JBD was a scratch tho.

Watched part of the debut of JBD tonight. TSN people gave him a few kudos comments, but nothing like Kierstads coverage with Florida. But boy, I 'm no expert, but Ottowa looked terrible, just awful. I felt bad for our boys. Hope the new blood helps turn that team around, they need help. No statement on Pinto start. Either Sat or Monday I guess.

Goalie runs now at 3 in this game. But no penalties on any. Why can’t I see some of this in nchc play?

This is (almost) typical St Clown tourney play. The only difference is choking in last game- not first!

While I really would like to see another NCHC champ for 5 in a row... the most satisfying thing is that it wont be Duloot. Now I can watch the game to see who the gets their first ever title and enjoy watching it- no pressure/anxiety. So (softly) go huskies?

Late 3rd period. Team up 4-1. TV guys still announce him most shifts. “No missed steps for the debut”. Say 22 teams tried to recruit him. What a debut for Kierstad. If he could score too....

Kierstad gets serious minutes in 2nd. Team up 3-0 too. TV shows him almost every time on ice. 1st intermissions had him in too. Numerous UND kudos too. Nice to have home announcer for first game.

I can verify that Dean Blais was the same when I met him at a youth hockey camp when my son was injured, and Berry was very thankful and stopped to speak to my brother and I on the plane back from Anchorage a while ago. Both are great guys. Never met Hak myself tho.

There have been some very insightful comments here on this board by knowledgeable fans warning we football idiots that 3 quality wins are not a full season, keep reality on the horizon, don't get expectations too high, etc. But doing so by very stating very specific weaknesses with insight in how to defeat this program is just dumb. How about pointing out things less specifically and let opposing coaches figure out how to attack on their own, just a bit?

So a late game penalty in both last week and this weeks games, appears to have "decided" both. Coach #$&inet blamed refs last week. How about this week?

USCHO has a replay of the U Mass OT goal that beats BC. WOW. Mass player breakaway, gets tripped up trying to shoot. Ref signals penalty shot. D man lands on puck and carries it into goalie and into net, knocks net off. Review calls it a goal (in OT) so its game over, BC loses. What a weird loss.....
