My "tagline" is in reference to the 10th Amendment to the Constitution. How is this the US government vs the state of North Dakota or to the people of North Dakota? As unscientific as it is, the GF Herald has a poll on their website regarding this issue. Currently 83% say no merger, 5% say merge only if the university was based in GF and 11% agree with you. I don't think you will see a lot of support for your idea.

By my usual postings you can tell that I'm more about UND as whole and not just sports and I'm hopeful that this campaign covers a lot of areas of need. That being said, I'm thinking that athletics will be hugely impacted by the announcement. The fact that Tim O'Keefe is bursting with excitement along with this from press release... Sure people like me will be talking about it the next day regardless if athletics is impacted or not, but when i see "everyone will be talking about the next day", I'm thinking something ginormous is coming.

There are a few threads here regarding North Dakota. They don't sound very high on their quarterback Grady. It sounds as though they struggle in the passing game. Many of the fans would like him replaced. Hmmm, who does that sound like. One of the threads discussed how the defense was surprised that quarterbacks can run. I think the Sioux have a quarterback that runs. Maybe the Sioux should start Gos...., nah that would never work.

The UND Athletic Department and their media partners should be applauded. The coverage in the newspapers and blogs over the past few weeks by Forum Communications has been great and now word today that the Idaho game will be televised on the Midco Sports Network. UND really is enjoying unprecedented coverage. Thanks, to all that make it happen. Additionally, the Idaho game is available via live video webcast from fightingsioux.com.
