UND did put Nodaks on BB uniforms back in the 20s or 30's..... http://forum.siouxsp...post__p__396915 The ebay uniform looks like a cheesy 1970s NDSU uniform, but I don't recall them using Nodak.

The Sioux have a good TEAM this year. Huff is an important PART of that TEAM. He if fun to watch and his athleticism amazes at times. He is unlike anyone that I have seen in a Sioux uniform, but still he is only a part of the team. I look forward to seeing Huff in a "North Dakota" uniform the next three years. Go Sioux!!

Only one of which is in the Summit. Although you never say never, I can't see them trading their current rivalries and recruiting grounds to go to the Dakotas.

http://en.wikipedia....lley_Conference I'm looking at the map on the link above and am trying to figure out why EIU would leave the OVC for the Summit/Missouri Valley FC.

http://www.soconspor...S_Coaches_Poll/ UND (22) will play USD (24) for a share of the Great West title. Pretty nice way to end the transition for both schools. Hopefully the Sioux can show some offense.

Is there a reason why the Yote fan board is not accessible unless you are a member? I hadn't been there in quite some time, but didn't know they had changed their rules that you can't see the forums unless you are a member. Why the change?

Nice to see Mussman go for it on 4th down, getting the Sioux the eventual winning TD. Let's close out the season with a win over the mangy dogs.

Anderson looked great in the Waldorf game. He played a complete gamed. Huff is fun to watch. The acrobatic play he had in the first half was highlight reel stuff. The big guys did rebound well with their height advantage, but seemed to have a hard time getting the shots to fall in close. Should be a fun year for Sioux BB. Hopefully the attendance picks up as the year rolls on. I guess 1642 isn't bad for a Saturday afternoon.

Me either. I'm heading up to take in some basketball this weekend. Boosters Friday afternoon, ladies Friday night and the men on Saturday night. Nice weekend for some Sioux BB. Go SIoux!!

Ouch!! There is a certain Bison fan whose board name contains a body of water that enjoys going from forum to forum announcing that UND lost to Mayville in BB. I'm sure he is having a wonderful day today.

Haga needs to stop stirring the pot with pieces like this. It gives the nickname armageddon crowd a rallying point. I am a fan of UND, not just UND athletics. I don't want to blow up the whole university to keep a nickname.

The Big Sky is a destination conference. The Summit is a transient conference with the members looking for the exit door once they get in. The Big Sky is stable. I'm not so sure about the Summit. With the exodus of ORU and a nine team league, who are the travel partners? The east is pretty easy to figure out, as there are four teams there. The west.... I can see UNO with UMKC and the South Dakota schools paired. Who is NDSU's travel partner going to be? If you add another school in the west are the east schools going to complain and scramble to the exit door? I don't see UND moving to the Summit. I would think it would be more likely, NDSU moving to the Big Sky..

Agreed. First step is in a few weeks. July 1st, for official membership, can't come soon enough.
-
Why? Because the Summit is becoming the NCC 2.0 that Sica and the often maligned Star2 said it would become. ORU was the program that one could point to in the Summit and say that the Summit has a school with national recognition and prominence. Losing ORU is big hit to the conference. With the way conferences have been changing over the past 2 years, who else may be leaving the Summit?

I wonder if Fullerton and NDSU are talking?

I was out this afternoon and only was able to start watching it when the Sioux were down 23-9. It sounds like Bradley didn't play well at all and from what I saw from Goska, he is showing a couple of things that Bradley has not. Goska is always a threat to run and has been able to hit the open man where Bradley has not. I'm sure Hardin will replay that drop over and over again in his head, but he had a great catch to earlier that got the Sioux moving. Although a loss, I'm encouraged by the play that I saw. In that span the moved the ball fairly well, scored 10 points and didn't allow and Poly points. From reading through the game thread the Sioux didn't show a lot of offense prior to Goska coming in. I think he has earned a start next week. Go Sioux!
