  1. Unfortunate. In watching the video, attached to the link at Wisconsinpreps. he looks like a talented kid.
  2. Getting this thread back where it is supposed to be... Top-five finish now in Mavericks’ sights Not if the Sioux have anything to say about it. I'm anxious for Friday night. I didn't know that UND was considered to be Minn. St.'s biggest rival.
  3. I got an email from a friend in GF this morning saying he is thankful there is no wind as the temperature itself is cold enough today without adding the wind to it. I remember being thankful once like that. I was in Bismarck one morning in December of 1983 and got up to -40 degrees and thought it wasn't bad because of the lack of wind.
  4. Boy am I stepping into it today. MplsBison, I was trying to say that my hypothesis was probably worth nothing, not your thoughts on Veldman. Maybe I should stop posting until I get caught up on sleep.
  5. If you read further up the thread, MplsBison said I wasn't trying to contrive anything out of this. I was simply hypothesizing given what MplsBison stated. Take it for what is worth. Which is probably nothing.
  6. I agree that UND would have had a better chance 5 years ago, but I also have the view that the longer it takes Veldman to commit, the better chance UND has. If it was strictly going to a team that was playoff eligible, NDSU would be a slam dunk and he would have already committed.
  7. I thought the same thing, but I would have assumed that Barta was making informed statements and not just using his own opinion in this matter. Here is the link to the Herald story.Wisconsin says no, after all. Your link doesn't jive, Matt.
  8. You're right. My mind was on last season.
  9. Wow. Talk about a collapse. I walked away from the computer when the Sioux were up by 15, as I thought they had it won. Looking at the bright side, at least they got the loss to SCSU out of the way before regionals.
  10. Toews, Oshie appear in court
  11. I'm sure that you are probably joking about calling. But just so those don't know ... no tampering with recruits by boosters.
  12. What are the odds that we would see another article on the Sioux name in the St. Cloud State newspaper? UND student speaks out against name I guess it's good to have goals, even though they are destructive. (That was sarcasm Hammersmith ) The only negativity that I see from the logo comes from BRIDGES.
  13. You may be on to something, since 401 programs are pre-tax... OTOH.. I doubt if this is what is occurring. I find it more likely that people are living beyond their means. Is every household now required to have a big screen HD TV? I see people with families down here spend huge dollars for the rims on their car and live paycheck to paycheck. Priorities and responsibilities are not what they used to be.
  14. DIE THREAD DIE BTW, PCM the guest quarters will be occupied. Mother-in-law and sister-in-law coming next week. Sorry.
  15. Fargo Forum story regarding the incident Three UND hockey players may face charges
  16. I think the Bye week came at just the right time. A little cooling down period would be good regardless of whether the boys ride the bench or not. If Hakstol is going to sit them down, he has plenty of time to prepare for not playing them. Shuffling lines and such.
  17. Nothing to apolgize to me for. I didn't write the article, I just posted it. By the way Tommiejo, it has warmed up a lot since Sunday PM when we were below freezing. Tonight's low is about 50.
  18. Right Man For The Job
  19. Revamp The NCAA Tournament
  20. They are hydrogen fuel cells. This also intertwines with what is happeing at EERC. Linky. Fuel cells for vehicles.
  21. Looks like a great recruiting class. Hats off to the FB staff.
  22. I would think that the methane produced from Red Pepper food would be more potent.
  23. It is also worth noting that UND no longer enters a solar powered car. The forward thinking people at UND have gone beyond that to a hydrogen powered car.
  24. Herpes outbreak delays season One thing that you don't see happening in hockey. When I wrestled in HS we had one guy that had impetigo. He may as well have had the plague, as no one wanted to get near him.
  25. Blues Notes: Top prospects get a look
