I thought this conversation was eerily familiar.

I forgot that it was carpet. I wonder would the cost would be to put it back to grass? You have a point about being away from the action 'booya.

Is Memorial Stadium too small, field-wise, for soccer? I would think that would be a great venue and it is UND owned and controlled.

The plot thickens. This sounds like part of "The Vast Fighting Sioux Conspiracy".

How about writing "Dakota" in cursive on the side of the helmet? Somewhat unique and would identify UND above all others in the two Dakota's. Similar to Maine:

One of the classes I took from Munski was either the Geography of Canada or Manitoba, I don't recall which, but it did include a field trip to Winnipeg, which was a blast. We stayed at the Place Louis Riel, ate at the Spaghetti Factory and took in some nightlife. Oh, and we went to some museums, too.

I graduated from UND in 1984 with a major in Geography and a minor in Geology. Computer cartography was just coming of age and thought that was I wanted to do when I graduated. Unfortunately there weren't too many companies or municipalities doing it at that time and the ones that were hiring were paying poverty wages, so I ended up going into the fire sprinkler industry and doing drawings using AutoCad. I did really enjoy Geography at UND. There was a new prof., who was my advisor, by the name of Munski. I understand that he is now the head of the department. Great guy. I hope you enjoy your time at UND in Geography.

I missed it live, but saw replay. Niiiice. Sabres totally dominating.

November 17th at Northern Arizona wouldn't be bad. When is the first round of the D2 playoffs?

Whatever happened to the proposed National Collegiate Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the complex along with the Alerus and the Canad? Canad Inn Center

Since Jahnke is concerned about costs in this case, I'm guessing that he will tell the NCAA "no" to their fishing expedition into UND's records. What they are seeking isn't really part of the argument anyway.

UND stays hush on money regarding nickname lawsuit Vhat? Does this headline match this story?

From April 2005... Virginia Tech's ban on guns may draw legal fire I don't know if any of you listen to Neal Boortz, but he spent some time today talking about the quickest way to make Virginia Tech safe would be allow all students and faculty who have a license to carry a concealed weapon in the state of Virginia to register with the campus police and be allowed to carry their weapons to class. Do you think this week's events would have happened if there were such a rule?

I thank those have offered information on the different types of firearms and I promise that if/when I do purchase I will do plenty of homework and get training on both usage and safety. I'm not sure how many of you have heard of Kennesaw GA. They have a requirement that all of the citizens, with the exception of those with criminal records, to own a gun. Bag The Colors And Pass The Ammunition Teddy Roosevelt wasn't talking about gun ownership when he said "walk softly and carry a big stick", but it conjures up the same meaning in my mind. I imagine that most criminals would be far less brave and brazen if alot more people had concealed weapons (carry a big stick). FYI, I think he actually wrote "speak softly and carry a big stick" first.

Call me ridiculous, then. Search on gun laws and Virginia Tech There are groups in this country, that would like nothing better than to clamp down on all gun sales.
-
My possible gun purchase is more of a culmination of what has happened in the past 10 years than the past week, but I do see the possibility of people using the events of Virginia Tech to clamp down on gun rights. I agree with you wholeheartedly on being responsible with how a gun is handled and stored and I would most certainly take a safety class on operating the weapon.

Getting back to Fetch's reason for starting the post, Florida has a law that is very much pro-homeowner. Florida's New "Stand Your Ground" Law: Why It's More Extreme than Other States' Self-Defense Measures, And How It Got that Way At present, I do not have a gun. I do see a time in the future where law abiding citizens will not be able to obtain a gun. I am seriously contemplating getting one now, because I may not be able to get it later. I'm open to suggestions on what to buy from those in the know.

I am one of the unfortunate ones who has never seen a hockey game at the Ralph. I have seen three basketball games there in a suite and loved it. The Carr Report is saying that the Betty is undersized for BB. It wasn't built for BB games. It was built for practice. Engelstad Arena will add basketball/volleyball courts BTW, I hope to see a hockey at the Ralph next season. DOT! DOT! DOT! DOT!

Well....in general ...........uh............ numbers.................they were ..................ah...............ah...................um................not even close. Actually Tony, I think there were two different numbers about a day apart, one saying that it was going to cost $1M more and then $2M more the next day. Edit: I think the $1M was in a newspaper article and the $2M came from the report. Too long ago for us old people to remember accurately.
