  1. I think students should be commended for not throwing flares on the ice. Also Jonathon Toews says he loved the atmosphere at REA. I say if we can keep getting players like Toews to come to UND, why change anything?
  2. Well I can't read so I haven't.
  3. It is rather frustrating that the only time Kupchella really seems to say anything about athletics, it is something negative and it's never directly to do with the team or sport he's directing the negativity towards. He doesn't really support the athletic teams, he just shows up at championship games and even then he only seems to be there because he feels like he's supposed not because he wants to. I don't even know the words to Fight on Sioux. I wish I did, because it is a great fight song.
  4. Another forum has to be done. The last one was 4 years ago now. Many students who were at those, will have graduated (hint: to myself ), it needs to be done again. This time though it has to be taken seriously. Alot of things need to be done and everyone needs to attend them, it can't just be students, REA and whomever the new AD is. The general public/people who aren't happy need to attend too. The reason playoff games are so fun is because you eliminate the dopey bandwagon students. They certainly aren't going to shorten their Spring Break to watch hockey. This results in people who are true fans being able to get tickets. I think if REA overall had more true fans, student and other alike, this wouldn't even be a problem as it would have been solved by now.
  5. I really wouldn't care. If people want to act stupid and make themselves look ignorant, more power to them. They aren't hurting me in any way, so I really do not care. I might laugh at them or I might just ignore them. It's amazing that adults can ignore things, isn't it?
  6. I'm not disagreeing, I was just saying. I wanted to lighten the mood a bit before everyone starts yelling at everyone else. I try not to swear anymore, sometimes though it slips out. Heck this year I got talked to by security and I didn't even swear. Guess I'm one of those "leaders" that Chucky is talking about!
  7. I'd have to say that yelling FU at a player isn't quite as bad as punching a player or throwing beer at them.
  8. You know what I'd like to know? How the hell can students be so well behaved at football games and yet they are terrible individuals at hockey games. Oh wait, students have improved leaps and bounds. Students have done a helluva lot and made genuine efforts, yet some people still aren't happy. Meanwhile some other people just continue to bitch and bitch and bitch. Students are asked, then told what they have to do. Students tried toi work with other groups and were pretty much spit on and told to shut up. The problem isn't the students, the problem is whiney people who think they are entitled to whatever they want in life. You don't have to agree with what I just said, but the problem is that many people dismiss it. Many students feel this way and when it is dismissed, nothing gets solved. Students, UND and the general public need to get together and figure this out. It can't be like the meetings the first year where people whined about the students, but then didn't even bother to show up. The general public and people who aren't happy with the students need to show up and something needs to be figured out. Until both sides get together, nothing will change. It's not that complicated to figure out. They should also talk to the Alerus. You go to a football game and the students are absolutely crazy. There is very little swearing though with virtually no organized swearing cheers, maybe even none. Something must be different. Figure out what that is.
  9. Would have to do some editing, other than the back obviously , but this basic design I think would be pretty cool.
  10. You lose all credibility by admitting you could hum Hail to the Victors. Worst fight song ever. So annoying.
  11. Braly is North Alabama's stadium, aka where the NC game is. Of course it is in December not January. So yes I'd rather be at the Rose Bowl in January as it would actually have a football game occuring.
  12. Everything I did this year was greatly entertaining and humorous.
  13. They stuck Zach in the third row? Maybe it's just me, but I don't think sticking a deity in the third row for the Pope's funeral is a good idea.
  14. How will the Wookie feel when he finds out you are cheating on him to go watch the "Gorgeous Hunk of Meat"?
  15. Utah is in the AHL. They are the Coyotes affiliate. I love when you say stuff like this. It allows me to laugh at you.
  16. Good point. I think it's because the DII basketball game comes in the package with the DI tournament, that's why it's on CBS. The DII football game is in the package with every other NC$$ championship, that's why it's on ESPN. Or something like that.
  17. Bourque had more goals, more points, a better plus/minus and played for a better team. I don't really have a problem with him making the team over Zach.
  18. Schneider is so last year!
  19. What exactly did he do to his elbow? It sounded like it was just a big cut, but since it kept being talked about it had to have been something more. I want him and Smaby back plus I want them to train so they can play like 50 minutes a game next year. That way guys like Marty Sertich will be afraid to come onto the ice.
  20. That sounds like a good idea to me. You won't have fans so why the hell have a Players Association?
  21. Somebody's looking to score brownie points.
  22. I thought Sandelin won it last year. As I said I doubt Hakstol will win it because of where UND finished in the WCHA, especially now that they didn't win the NC. He may deserve it, but probably won't win it. It's announced something like April 17, I think. I'm too lazy to look it up though.
  23. I blame Matt's skates much more than I blame Matt. I doubt he'll ever wear those skates again.
  24. Mr. Feaster obviously hasn't even watched Smaby play at UND. Matt came here and spent the entire first half of his freshman season standing around while Andy Schneider ran around like a chicken with his head cut off trying to cover for Matt. Now Matt Smaby is knocking the crap out of guys and playing great defensive hockey. Now while Matt is a pretty good player, I don't think he singlehandedly did this by himself. I'd think he probably learned at least a little something from say Brad Berry or Dean Blais or Matt Jones and unless I'm mistaken, all of those guys are/were at UND at some point in the last two years. Maybe I'm crazy though. You don't even notice him on the ice because he simply is doing his job and is managing to do it without having to tackle opposing players. How is this a bad thing?
  25. He has really been playing weel lately and I think Smaby could have a junior year much like David Hale had, minus the sickness. If that happens, Matt will be a first team All-American.
