I think composite leather..... I'm all for chucking the pigskin and launching 3's. But when that is all you do, it is easy to gameplan for as a defense and take away. I will put my life savings on it that all Oral Roberts is talking about in film and practice today is that they need to take away the 3 and it won't even be a competition. UND needs to find a way to get more easy buckets to go along with the 3's. Hence up the tempo and get more easy points in transition.

42 of their 56 shot attempts were 3's. Can't really get much more than that. Unless you speed up the game and try get more possessions and cut down on the 14 turnovers they had yesterday.

I suppose you could use him as a sub for Danielson when Norman is in. So you would go: 1. Trey 2. Norman 3. Brooks 4. Omot 5. TT That could work as the spacing that provides would benefit him greatly. It is just so hard to have him in there at the same time as Trent. We've seen that that doesn't really work as there is no spacing and then no flow on offense.

Which is good, imo. I thought the rotations were MUCH better last night. Especially in the second half. I like the starting 5 with Norman and Mathews as the subs. Let those 7 dominate the minutes. Could make a case for Levias being a sub as well though. I would like to see Brooks get some minutes instead of 0 but he is just too limited offensively at the moment and isn't a PG that you could have him back up Trent and surround him with shooters.

Honest question, do you think KC thought UND was a 3 point team or do you think they just thought the game against Denver was an anomaly? Before last night I thought that the Denver game was a one time thing that we shot and made that many 3's. Never viewed us as a 3 point team before that, but now after last night it seems as though that is going to be their game plan moving forward (I hope at least). Look to drive and kick and get open 3's. I like it!!

Absolutely! Can't expect them to keep shooting that well from three every game. Outscored Denver 45-9 on points from threes and lost. Outscored UMKC 54-21 on points from threes. Ended up winning by 17 but almost gave it away around the 5 minute mark and thankfully pulled away! Need to keep playing defense while also finding a way to get some easy points off layups or other 2's. I don't mind the live by the 3 die by the 3 mentality we've had the last two games, but especially on Saturday if they aren't falling at 38.5% and 43% like the last two games it could get ugly quick.

I’d agree! The forced narrative that he is some lockdown defender is just not true. However, like you said I wouldn’t trade Danielson’s minutes for Brooks. Brady has been playing solid!

I’m glad to hear people were worried about me and wondering where I was! Was at the game enjoying it and not on my phone! Good team win! Loved the rotations especially in the second half when Grant didn’t play and we used Trey as the backup PG. Trey and Norman need to play together as much as possible moving forward. Omot ultra aggressive. Lots of positives! Good to get the first conference win. However, KC was playing like it was an open gym. No structure whatsoever. Need to enjoy it tonight but get back focused for Saturday as Oral Roberts will be 10x harder of a game.

Here is just a few from this thread. There have been plenty of other comments in other game day threads throughout this season. There are also a few users in this forum that will live and die by Sather so you know they are praying for an extension for him. “my gut tells me they give him a 1 or 2 year extension. Hence why he shouldn't be given an extension nor why anyone (other than close relatives to Sather) should think that he deserves an extension.

It is the right thing to do. Actually, the only thing to do. He's a good guy. He deserves it.

Let him take over for the rest of the season and see what he can do then. Sather ain’t getting it done so it can’t get any worse

I would think that it is a disappoint of a season given the talent of the freshman that were brought in and other players around them. I've said this all year and I'll continue to stand by it, but UND had the talent this year to be a middle of the pack team in the Summit. Unfortunately, it appears as though the coaching philosophies/decisions made by the staff have held the team back. At some point we need to expect better than 2 conference wins in a year.

Wow! $75 million donation is just pocket change I would think this points towards St. Thomas planning on moving to the Big East at some point down the road.

I'll ask anybody in here this, why should they respect UND as a Division 1 team right now? Could UND even be a middle of the pack team in the NSIC right now? I would have to say probably not. They would be lower end of that conference. UND is not viewed as a D1 program at the moment and haven't been for at least 2 years. The basketball program is in such a deep hole that it is going to be so hard to get out of. And it is only getting worse with Sather at the helm.

On a Twitter live the other day talking about the Summit league. I can't remember who it was, but a media person for another Summit school made a comment how it's a 9 team league and that there are 9 teams that could compete for a Summit championship. Nobody respects UND. Also, you really think any other teams or their fanbases fear or even respect playing UND?? NO! They view it as a easy W. And rightfully so based off our 2-22 record in conference the last two years. Everybody chalks it up as a W before the game even happens. Watching the Denver game on Saturday they are dunking the ball and clowning the UND players and bench. They don't respect us. And that's the next worst team in the league.

Other teams, media people, and other fans don't even view UND as being a part of the Summit League anymore. They talk about the Summit being a 9 team league. It is just sad how nobody even remotely respects UND Men's basketball anymore.

I have sent him respectful/professional emails and he hasn’t answered. Not sure what to tell you. I’ve used these channels that Jdub is saying to use but get no response back.
