Still doesn’t mean we can’t get good transfers to UND. Keep that closed mind and see how it keeps working for Sather

We absolutely have the players to play at a fast pace and score the ball. Upping the pace would help with so many problems but sometimes coaches are stubborn and won't adjust their philosophy to better suit the players they have on the roster

I don't mind Trey at the point but that isn't going to change anything about the pace that UND plays at. That is Sather's basketball philosophy. He wants to play as slow as possible and try turn the game into a rock fight. So no new PG is going to make us play any faster

Because either Reid Grant or Danielson or BOTH need to be on the floor at all times. Those are Sather's guys and he is putting his coaching job in their hands. They will lead him to the promise land

How did Jones get Marlon Stewart?? NIL wasn't even a thing at that time and we got him to come to Grand Forks from playing at Creighton! Yes, NIL would help but it is not the end all be all. UND could get guys that played at bigger schools that can come here and make an impact and be 'The Guy'. That closed minded thinking that we can never get guys because we don't pay them enough is the reason UND is in such a deep hole. There are other ways to get guys here from bigger schools other than just NIL.

Watched the second half of Denver vs NDSU last night and Denver looked BAD! Would be nice to get our first conference win of the season!

That is tough to answer because men's and women's basketball is such a different game. I'll say this, from what I've seen, Mallory is a MUCH better coach than Sather.

At this point lets pull Hong's redshirt and throw him out there and see what he can do. If we're going to play 10 guys a night what does 1 more hurt??

Need a coach that has an offense that scores more than 40 points in a game. No kid wants to play for, or in Sather's system. Why does every game have to be a slow paced low scoring rock fight? Why can't we just run dudes off the floor and play with some pace and some energy?? That is what players want to play in and one that they excel in. They want to score points and play fast! The next coach needs to bring that to UND. A fast, high scoring offense.

It starts with getting rid of Sather immediately! Let an assistant take over and see if we can win a few games and build up some momentum. Then you find a young coach that has some fire and some passion. Someone that young men can relate to and will want to listen to and play for. Get that coach hired asap after the season is over so that he has the whole off season to bring in some transfers and implement his coaching philosophy. That is the only right way to go about turning this program around. It is in such a deep hole that it is going to be hard though.

We can't do that though because Sather is just too good of a guy! I'm so sick of hearing that excuse!! The dude is incapable of doing his JOB!! Which is to win basketball games. He gets his job correct less than 33% of the time and 20% of the time against other D1 teams!! After 3.5 years and he still has a job and the only defense is that he's a good guy. Give me a break!! This is beyond a disaster!!!

Starting lineup but put Norman in for Danielson. Go 5 out to spread the floor. Up the tempo and scores some points in transition. Play those 5 guys 36-40 minutes a game each. That is your only chance at winning a game at the moment.

That is true! It is going to have to be all about transfers moving forward. Find guys that didn't get to play much at a better school that want to come to UND and be the man. In the Summit you really only need 2 guys. You need 2 guys that on any given night can take over a game and win it for you. You can easily find 2 guys like that in the transfer portal

Sather has put UND Men's Basketball in such a deep hole that I don't know how long it is going to take to get out of! What recruit that is a halfway decent player would want to come play for a team that wins 2 conference games a year??? Heck we might not win a single conference game this year. What recruit wants to play for that?? Sather has turned this basketball program into an absolute joke and an absolute embarrassment.

If UND loses to Denver on Saturday Sather should not be allowed back on the bus/plane, whatever they took. Get him a one way ticket back to South Dakota where he can continue to be a D2 coach and such a great guy that people forget how bad of a coach he is! He should be banned from UND's campus if they lose Saturday

So right as we sub in 4 bench players..... seems like a common denominator here. When we play 9+ guys and have 4 bench guys in at the same time we usually don't play well and the other team goes on a run. It isn't rocket science but for Sather it seems to be.

Yep! 17-33 at his JC for 51.5% on 1 attempt a game from three. Shot 61% from the field. 78% from the free throw line. Coaching took all confidence out of him looking to shoot from the very beginning with how short of a leash he had. Missed a shot and immediately got taken out.

What I see every home game Sather is turning around and telling each player to check in. I’ve seen Stevens suggest subs sometimes but Sather does the subs

Such poor execution down the stretch. By the coaches. By the players. By everybody. So sad
