To provide some data to this, when he guards these play types this is his rank in D1 in terms of PPP: P&R Ball Handler - 28% - Below Average (Gives up 0.84 points per possession) Handoffs - 9% - Poor (Gives up 1.3 points per possession) Isolation - 12% - Poor (Gives up 1.1 points per possession) Post Up - 98% - Excellent (Gives up 0.33 points per possession) To go off what GoodGood and other said above, he is a good help side defender that plays hard, will take charges, and will get tough rebounds but he is not a good primary defender or a lockdown defender like some people push.

My only thing with that is, it is another guy that doesn't really have any other D1 interest/offers at the moment. We have enough of those guys right now. He is getting a ton of JUCO interest and offers right now. Let him go develop at a JUCO for a year or two and then if he does well try to get him from there. Just my thoughts though. We need guys that are 100% D1 level talent and size. No questions asked.

Which is fair. Sather also had a decent record his first year here with Jones’s guys. Take that year out and below 30% win rate. It just goes to show that he hasn’t been a good recruiter on top of him not being a good basketball coach.

Yeah he’s 37-74 right now in 3.5 years at UND. 33.33% win rate in all games. If you take out the NAIA/D3 games it’s very low. Less than 25% against other D1 teams. Combine that with a 3-24 conference record the last two years I’m not sure how you could possibly justify extending him. It would make 0 sense.

Is that in just conference games? When I looked it up I saw him at a decent amount better than that. 36-69 overall record in first 4 years

Only 6 turnovers in the game against ORU! Limiting turnovers to maximize possessions is huge for UND. I think Trent does a good job containing Massner tonight and another big performance from Omot!

That’s correct. They are winnable. I’m just saying we’ve had two good games. We’re still a 1 conference win basketball team. Don’t get too high as things can turn bad again real quick. Like I said above. Look how high we all were on them after the Thanksgiving tournament at home. And then look how bad they looked and went after that. I’m cautiously optimistic that things could turn around. Not holding my breathe though

4 tough games on the road coming up. We’ve won 1 conference game… could easily be a 5 game losing streak coming up. Definitely playing better with this 7 man lineup and going 5 out (like I’ve been saying to do all year) but we are still dead last in the conference. 3-23 in conference in the last two years now??
