What are people’s thoughts on Steven Aldridge? From watching him interact with players before the game and during the game it seems like they really respect him and will listen to him. He was listed 11th on an ESPN “40 under 40” list of top coaches under 40. Young guy and seems like he really knows basketball.

I used to not be a fan of Danielson and have always thought he was a D2 level player. I still think he is a D2 level skill and size player but he just seems to always make something good happen when he’s in for a few minutes at a time. Whether it be a big offensive rebound, an And 1, or getting a loose ball. I think he can be a 8-10 minute a game guy on this team but nothing more. Enough of this being our starting PG and playing 30 minutes a game.

Because in Sather’s eyes Danielson is the star player on the team. Danielson is a good role player. 10 minutes a game nothing more.

I wouldn’t guard him outside the paint either. But if you put Norman, Eaglestaff, Omot, and TT around him it doesn’t matter. 4 guys that can shoot the ball and spread the floor and let Jalun create. Pick and pop with TT. Drive and kick to Norman and Eaglestaff. Omot create off the dribble. Why have we never seen that lineup??

He absolutely could and absolutely should. He is the only legit PG on the roster that can play.

Hence the reason we are one of the worst teams in all of D1 basketball. I tried to say this at the beginning of the year that they need to figure out an 8 man rotation and I was crucified for it on this forum. How can the assistant coaches just sit there and watch Sather self destruct like this?

Exactly! We have the players to be a middle of the pack Summit league team this year. The players are there. But the coach is absolutely atrocious and holding everything back. I really just don’t get how you can be so bad of a coach.

Sather is now below a 33% win rate in his time at UND. He has single handedly brought this program to the worst D1 program in all of basketball.

Everyone that is good is going to leave if Sather stays the whole season. Nobody wants to play for him. It’s clear as day. Changing the starters every game. No consistent lineups. Not playing our most talented players. Putting the dumbest lineups ever assembled on the floor at all times. I can keep going and going and going. It’s pathetic. We will lose our only hope for the future in Omot, Eaglestaff, and Brooks

If Sather isn’t fired within the next few games we will lose all three of Omot, Eaglestaff, and Brooks. They do not want to play for Sather. I can promise you that

Yep he will work! Someone young with some positive energy that players like and want to be around. Someone that can inspire young men!

How about a former player as the next coach?? Someone young that has some pride for the school and can turn this thing around. That’s what UND needs
