Yeah, not a good night. Team didn't play all that well and of course Don Adam.....and of course TH has a way of getting the best lines out of Hak.

Did not catch the first part of the game. How long did Adam take with the replay? Did he sit down and take his time or did he rush through the process ala Marco Hunt?

I'll jump on the Oxbow bandwagon. Split it is. Duluth may be a bit down, but they have a good coaching staff and Duluth losing four games in a row just doesn't happen. UND wins on Friday, Duluth turns the tide on Saturday.

I think you mean Haks first season. Adam has been around for a while.

Hak's first year is when Paukovich almost killed Bina and got a two minute penalty for it. Was it before or after that?

I don't know what you could tell your defenseman in that situation? Guy is coming into the zone, with the puck, head down. Trouba didn't raise his elbow to hit the guy, didn't jump, just made a good physical hockey hit. Its a good thing Trouba isn't shorter or he could have done a lot more damage with his shoulder to the players head. I guess that is contact to the head, but you're telling me that from now on you can't hit a player with his head down?

Very good question. I'm hopeful that he stays in an office. Locked up on Friday and Saturday nights.

Better team won on Saturday night. Doesn't make up for Adam not having a clue for either side. He did not cost UND the game, no way no how. But its frustrating as hell when everyone and their dog knows whats coming with him, and he seems to outdo himself every time. He could start his tenure as head of officials in the new league by putting together video clips of his screw ups as a learning device for new officials.

I love Hak to death, but he's got to keep his cool given the situation. You'll have plenty of time at the end of the game or in the third period to let that clutz know how bad of an official he is. Lots of ice 4-3.......yikes.

This game could go a couple different ways here in the third. I'm guessing either: A) SCSU scores on the powerplay and goes on to bury UND with a ton of penalties and Hakstol getting tossed. B) UND kills the penalty and rallies and wins the game.

EXACTLY. Taking dives is garbage. There is too much tradition for that crap. Get hit, get up. Robbie Bina set the bar as to when a player should lay down after getting hit from behind.

Five minute majors are such an energy sucker. They just mess everything up. You've got to go with an odd number of d men, which means guys not used to playing with other guys, and your forward killers need to be juggled......blah.....they just screw things up. Need the period break to get some organization back.

Penalty, you bet. But if the play last night isn't a major then the play tonight isn't a major. How UND ALWAYS....and I mean ALWAYS ends up on the lesser end of these calls is besides me. I may sound like a homer fan, but its crap.

Clarke has to be back in the net tonight for UND. Gothberg is young, and I think Brad Eidsness said it best last weekend with the whole "not the worst thing to sit back and watch right away" comment.
