This series will show us where UND is defensively. Miami is a lot like Yale. Puck pressure, and they buzz around the offensive end. I'm thinking Simpson will be out there whenever Riley Barber's unit is. They need to take away that line's time and space or we could be talking about an early season sweep on the road.

To me its too simple. Watch Mark play with Parks. I know they don't want to be a one unit show, but they aren't this year. Heck, Johnson doesn't have to be with them. Put OD with them. But those two are just too good together to keep them apart.

Hak knows more about hockey than I'll ever know. I guess I'll just sit back and let that chemistry show up at some point in time.

Alright....thoughts: ~After week #1 the #1 goaltender is obviously Zane. Played very well, and made some big saves when they needed them in the third period. ~They can't have Mark play with Mitch. If anyone who watched disagrees I'm all ears for why it some how works. ~Rocco and Drake will draw a lot of attention. Thats why Parks-Mark-Johnson will be that much more potent. ~Keaton Thompson learned what it feels like to get undressed in front of 12,000 people. He'll learn though. ~Stecher again was solid. ~I like the grit Pattyn plays with, but at the end of the game you can't take a penalty in the opposite end of the rink. Hak said it best last night. That group can't take penalties. Series went how I thought it would. On the road next week in Miami! Ohh wait....the one in Ohio?

I wasn't saying it was a bad thing. Just responding to a post asking if it means anything. I'm very glad they do it even in the non conference games.

I enjoyed the referee explaining to the Vermont coaches why there would be a shootout. And the Vermont coach making sure the game would go down as a tie.

And a shootout that will mean absolutely positively nothing. But still a nice added moment for the fans.

Ufff Pattyn......the fine line between gritty and dumb. UND lucky to be in OT. Zane made some great saves to keep it tied.

Well its 2-2.......not sure why UND had four guys below the goal line in Vermont's end.

2-0 after one period. The Grimaldi-Caggiula connection right now is too tough for Vermont to keep up with. The other lines haven't had near the chemistry.

OD would have gotten an assist on that goal if the Vermont guy had scored. Great counter transition feed back to your own end.
