The Duluth theory can't happen if we don't end up out east playing ECAC/Atlantic ten schools..... Hey, we know you're the number one seed Qunnipiac.....but we are going to have you play a higher ranked team because we are idiots at putting tournament locations together that will draw fans so we can break even. Plus the last time we made BC play away from the coast they didn't make the frozen four....

Hopefully the Catholic church has no issues with a Norwegian Lutheran at their mass.....

If a Notre Dame victory means BC and Minnesota end up in the same region I may attend Mass tomorrow morning.

It was kind of tough walking out of the rink tonight. Not sure when I'll get back to the X. Maybe a regional in the future? Maybe a frozen four? The NCHC tourny won't hold a candle to the Final Five. But we'll follow the Sioux a few miles west next year. Also sad that the same night is the last time behind the bench for Jack Parker. One of the true great individuals in college hockey. I'm hopeful we see him around the college game in some capacity.

I'm going to jump onto the Howe was robbed bandwagon. Rumpel was very good the entire weekend, and I'm not going to complain about his selection, but Joe Howe made a number of tremendous saves to keep his team alive Thursday-Saturday. And any kid that shuts out Minnesota in their backyard in the conference tournament is on the all tournament team in my book. I kind of thought Howe would be the MVP......no love for goalies!

My old man has the gift of gab, he just surprises the hell out of me sometimes. He basically was the emcee for my wedding reception, and just had people rolling. His comment about it not being a wake was pretty spot on. We have a lot of season to go..... I still just.....uffff.....Holy Cross dad.....Holy Cross.

What do you mean it wasn't a five? The gopher fans behind me who couldn't see the play because it was in a blind spot on the ice for us were all sure it was a five? Haven't seen a replay so I can't comment. CC was amazing on that kill. Like I said, when you take away Minnesota's cross ice backdoor pass to Bjugstad and they have to get gritty in front and throw stuff on net from outside spots you've got a chance.

I've had a lot of friends that say I'd be a good radio guy. I've been the emcee for some jump rope for heart events, was the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony of the high school I taught at for four years, and I've given some epic best man speeches. I think I'd do a better job than Bruce Ciskie....okay....I suck....

Hahaha. Yeah, I've heard that before. Back when I commonly cruised the threads of USCHO I heard the same thing when I met fans at games. I just turned thirty, so I'll take it as I sound and look older than I am. Or just really well spoken....

CC might have played a perfect game against Minnesota for their personnel. When things got testy they packed it in and gave Minnesota the points and blocked shots like warriors. They let their hot goaltender see everything, and more than anything got pucks deep. They normally don't dump it on teams, but they did against Minnesota and did a nice job not letting Minnesota go d to d in their own end while keeping a third guy high when they lost possession. Their penalty killing was sensational. Not allowing those cross ice passes that just murder teams. Weird days ahead in college hockey......SCSU could be done....Western....done......guess its nice knowing that no matter what happens tonight we will see the Sioux next weekend.

Just wanted to say thanks again for the great time. Nice to hear stories from people who truly love the University of North Dakota and love Fighting Sioux hockey. PS: I apologize for my dad calling holy cross sacred heart about five times. His excuse is he can't keep the Catholic schools straight....

Whats disgraceful is sitting in front of gopher fans who use racial/sexual extremely rude language for two whole hockey games (around children no less). Thats the disgrace.

After the TV timeout when he changed lines the Sioux were absolutley buzzing. I told my dad, "They went to the seasons on the line lineup". Sure enough, they scored. Will we see seasons on the line lineup next weekend?

There is no way that Kristo wins it. The off the ice stuff gives the voters an excuse. Andy Miele was a helluva hockey player, but he didn't dominate games like Matt Frattin did. Voters just took one look at Frattin's past, and as Schlossman said "You'd be amazed to see how some people voted." Is Kristo one of the best players in the country? Yup. Does he deserve to win it? Yup. Will he win it? Nope.....

That jerk coach of theirs knew something we didn't.... I don't see a similar fate for this years squad. I think getting sent out east may be a pipe dream. Like the pipe dream that gopher fan had last night of winning that fight against the Sioux fan......Someone got blood on his Minnesota jersey....

Had a couple of chances to bury them in the second period, but just couldnt buy a goal. I think you're right about OD with Knight. Just doesnt seem to be a lot of chemistry there, and at times last night really seemed to be forced. Get on the bus, go back to the Forks.

Was at the game.....thoughts..... ~Rocco and Parks both go to the same point, then both peal off the guy.....who then shoots and scores.... ~Goaltending like that won't win you games in a tournament. It has to be better. ~Gleason was not good. Seemed to be pressing, the powerplay died on his stick a few times. ~UND rolled four for most of the game, don't think the tanks were too emptied ~Powerplay needs to get pucks to the net. At times, too many passes. ~Would like to see faceoff stats for Rowney......got murdered on that last one. Anyone who watched that game saw what happened in the third period when UND needed a goal and tied the game. Rocco went up with the top unit and Mark went with Rowney and Parks. Thats when UND got a ton of momentum. After watching those units together I'm now in the load up the top two and have Drake play with Pattyn and St. Clair. The other line can be anyone....just don't get scored on. Its one and done time now in the college hockey world for North Dakota.

Dear jesus no.....please no. That is not good. Then BC would get sent to that regional with Brown, and likely UND as like a #2 seed and possibly a Niagara or a Notre Dame as a three. No....just no.

Michigan is hot at the right time. They're scary because a team thats playing for their season is extremely tough to beat. Add to that a team that is playing well and you've got your hands full. I think Michigan beats Miami and nips Notre Dame for the title.
