University of North Dakota Hockey 2017-18 Season

What I like about this years team is the depth up front. Not going to match what Denver is going to do, but Bubbs has the guys to play his third or fourth line against any team's top group. Seems like we may see this group play in their opponents end a little more too.....always a good thing. -
They've got to get Keaton into a groove. Early high percentage throws to get his confidence up and to set up the running game to where we won't see 9 men in the box because we can't throw the ball down field. Im putting this game on our seniors. Studs and Reyes at the forefront....leaders of their units. Bury the game ball from last week somewhere near memorial stadium, and get back to work on winning the big sky.

Agreed. Need a new playcaller. Need a young innovative guy.

If we were up 38-0 and our QB got touched by the other team I'd be upset. Dumb coaching by USD having him in the game.
-
Should a different QB play the second half for us?
-
Law firm of Santiago, Olivera, and JJ today. Pound em. Up slow, pound em again.
-
For only 15,000 bucks a year plus other costs your child can join them and become a leader of tomorrow!

If UND effectively runs the ball and controls the time SD's offense is on the field then I think UND wins by a TD. If the game opens up into a track meet then I think SD wins it. SD will turn the ball over, gotta make them pay when they do it. UND 27 USD 20

Green jerseys.....white pants...... I understand trying to change it up a bit, but to me the grey doesn't work.

Wanzek obviously spent his time with Baukol this summer. Looks like a different player.

Estimates on attendance?

South Dakota game scares me. Our offense has got to be on the field a lot. Pound the ball....pound the ball.....

Like the move. Keep a character guy that the players love around the program. I think Hrynkiw knows that KG is just a phone call away and Karl will always help where he can. Not much of a prediction, but Cam will have a huge year. -
Bolinske not on the team anymore?
-
Mobile QB, three good RBs, good OL...anyone else thinking of the offense using the old wing T for a play or two. Or we could run the veer and get Studs killed....
-
O-lineman. Played as a true freshman and had some folks thinking possible NFL type guy with his athletic ability for a guy of his size. I'm not sure if it's a huge loss because it always seemed like a 50/50 of whether the kid would actually be back on the team this year with the rumors floating around. I'll vote on the side of definitely a loss for our football team.

I should post a picture of my cool Tretiak jersey I found at Joe's sports shack in East Kalamazoo Michigan. -

Would be interesting to see UND play an exhibition in Minot against Manitoba in the Pepsi arena. Would make for an incredible atmosphere instead of a half asleep Ralph with a lot of empty seats. Also would love to see a UND-Michigan series at the new arena in Detroit, then again, haven't ever heard good things about Detroit..... -

Tough to see KG leave. One of my all time favorite players at UND. An extremely intelligent guy who will be tough to replace. Best of luck Karl. -

He could lead the nation in scoring by a defenseman, or he could end up a healthy scratch a time or two. I think if he plays like he can he'll be the best player on the team. -

Fixed your post. -
Didn't see this posted anywhere, but NCHC official Nick Krebsbach lost his father this week way too soon in an unfortunate boating incident (56 years young). His father's body was recovered from lake Metigoshe earlier today and plans are for a funeral at the MAYSA arena on Wednesday. Haven't always agreed with all of his calls on the ice but I cannot imagine losing such an important figure in your life in this manner. Prayers to Nick, his younger brother KC, and their families during this difficult time. RIP Kelly Krebsbach.
