  1. tsn.ca and then go to the world juniors tab under Canada Hockey.
  2. TSN opens their sportscenter highlights with team Canada's exhibition win over Finland with extended highlights. ESPN Bristol......still unaware that team USA even plays hockey....
  3. Forget the siouxsports.com hats, I'm wearing my purple pig hat with the spatula!!!!!!! Actually my son has claimed it. I'll stick with my black one.
  4. When they went to Ed on the radio for the last two scoring plays my heart was in my throat. Was like I was watching it 12 years ago when I was a Freshman in college.....what a tremendous team win.

    2013 Playoffs

Glad that Towson won the game, but I don't think there is much they can do against the buzz saw they are running into. They won't be able to run the ball, and although he showed some heart at the end, I don't think their backup QB can move the ball against the bison. Why EWU didn't run the ball more at the end will probably haunt them forever. Left too many timeouts for Towson and left too much time on the clock at the end.

Good for Towson. Winning on the road with their backup QB on the red turf. Great to watch.

    2013 Playoffs

Well here we go. 4th and 2......29 yard line of Towson. 1:40 to go. And Towson has life!

    2013 Playoffs

Ohh absolutely. The one and only loss of their entire FCS playoff careers to this point, and they way it came on a controversial play with Jensen on the goal line. Five more minutes to go though.

    2013 Playoffs

31-28 with under 5 to go. West hasn't gone as crazy as he did last week, but the dude is a helluva football player.

    2013 Playoffs

Towson rolling and then their starting QB gets hurt, and it hasn't been the same since. Vernon Adams with a touchdown pass to give the Eagles a 31-21 lead. And its looking like NDSU-EWU in Texas.
  11. Losing great players hurts, but this ship is going to take more than one or two years to right. I'll miss Golloday, I'll miss Jackson, but they were part of a 3-8 football team that got embarrassed at home more than I've ever seen any UND team get embarrassed at home. This team will get better with discipline, character, and like the post above mentioned, better line play on both sides of the football. If its already a business to Golloday, and Jackson is a big teddy bear who quits on his team maybe its better suited that they get out of the program while UND is rebuilding.

    2013 Playoffs

NDSU is just a tremendous tremendous football team. Even with some of their best players out they completely controlled that football game. I know NDSU is the best defense in the country, but they made NH look stupid. I don't think it really matters who they play in the NC. Regardless of how good Towson's running game is, NDSU will stop it. And EWU can get it done through the air, but they haven't seen a defense like NDSU's, and that includes the fact that they've played Oregon State this season.
  13. There was about four or five other reasons. Team Canada was ticked they were getting their @sses kicked, and of course when that happens in the game of hockey the officials need to control it. The head official had many opportunities to call the crap on Canada and she didn't. She just kept letting it go, and then it reaches a boiling point at the end.
  14. I like how Canada's coach called Team USA the aggressors after he watched his team take runs at Team USA the entire third period. That was pretty goonish of the Canadian women and I'm glad Jocelyn put that gal in her rightful spot into the end boards. Should only get better between these teams. Unless Noora Raty pulls more of her crap.....
  15. Lost 4-2 to Sweden in Exhibition action. Clearly time to Fire Don Lucia. Looks like they played pretty well minus the score. Outshot them by quite a bit, just couldn't score a goal. Where have we heard that before? Edit* Not the best game for Stolarz or whatever his name is in the net. Not sure who the goaltender will be at this point.
  16. Its like one of those tests that you didn't study at all for, but through some act of God you managed to get a grade much better than you deserved. I give this team a C+ right now. They have been so inconsistent, but get the C+ for how they finished the last five games.
  17. Canada should win it every year with the talent they produce. I'll take a Don Cherry quote, "Canada could make three teams, and they'd all medal". They show up like the big kid on the block, they get all the media attention, the entire nation is watching every move the team makes. Go to TSN.com during the tournament and you've got at least five stories daily on team Canada. Where as in the United States, its just us amateur hockey lovers that know whats going on wherever the tourney is held. I think its good for the sport when a country not named Canada wins. Probably like when the U.S. men's basketball team doesn't win gold at the olympics.
  18. I'm anxious to see what goaltender becomes the guy. Last year Gibson just stole the show. He put the fellas on his back and they just followed him to the gold medal. I think Gilles might be the guy. Demko looked okay the only time I saw him this year against the gophers, but isn't he like 12 years old? Last year I ripped on the coach and he proved me wrong and they won the gold. So I'll go ahead and throw Don under the bus now. Can't believe he's the coach. He's terrible. Awful...... GET RID OF HIM!!!!!
  19. Well if its DeBoer or whatever his name is he better apologize for beating UND with his NAIA team..... That to me immediately removes him from consideration...
  20. I'm anxious to see UND @ SCSU. Early in the year SCSU looked tremendous and handled UND easily at the Ralph. That will be a huge series for UND in the PWR, and for trying to get home ice in the NCHC tournament. I guess more importantly for me is seeing how far UND has come by the end of February.
  21. A few weeks off to heal some injuries, but the schedule looks pretty favorable after the exhibition trip up to Canada. Someone mentioned a few weeks ago that the team had the opportunity to go like 10-2 the next stretch of twelve games when they were heading into the St. Lawrence weekend. Right now they're 5-1 in that stretch. And minus the exhibition games (which should be wins IMHO) here is what the schedule looks like: CC @ home. A team that is reeling, need to sweep that team at home. (7-1) @BSU, home BSU. Should be two more wins. Although BSU always plays UND close. (9-1) @Denver. Split on the road and that closes that stretch of games at 10-2. Or sweep and keep the momentum going. That puts them at 14-8-2 going into Deano at home, Miami at home, then Duluth and SCSU on the road, before a home weekend to close out the year against Western. Should be interesting closing out the year after some had the Ralph being bulldozed in April.

    Hammerisms

~I had no idea that Mark and Mitch were brothers......none. Until Hammer told me every week.
  23. Maybe thats why UND waited so long to sweep a team. They didn't want Hammer to make more of a mule out of himself.
  24. Nice come from behind win. Like I said, it was fun to watch that team in the third period that just continually came at Northern. 5 in a row.
  25. I'll take the UND team I've seen the last six minutes. Completely dominating the game. Plus......they aren't sitting on the lead.
