Question for those who attended last Fargo regional:
Better/more intense atmosphere for UND hockey team?
-Sold out Ralph?
-Sold out Scheels arena?
I was at the regional in Grand Forks years ago and there was just something different about that crowd. So intense....so into the hockey games. Loudest I've ever heard at REA.
I think it depends on what seed UND is. If UND is a four seed then I think they (Denver) goes to Cincy, if UND is a three seed I'd bet they (Denver) end up in Fargo playing Canisius/Air Force/Tech/BG.
I have UND winning the third place game and with some other results they end up 9th in the pairwise. Nothing unrealistic, Harvard wins ECAC, BU wins HE, Canisius wins AH, BG wins WCHA, Denver wins NCHC, and Goldy wins B1G.
I wouldn't call it obsession, but more of hoping he gets his team to Minneapolis if this is indeed it for his long and successful career. Guy hasn't been the coach of our team for years.
Come on Dean. Pull out one more win to get to Minneapolis. Would get a nice reception from the UND faithful, plus who wants to coach their last game ever at Kalamazoo?
I'm hoping for an Omaha win as well. I'd prefer UND vs. Duluth Friday night at the Target Center instead of UND vs. Denver Friday afternoon.
If UND loses their first game they will be playing for their lives against a team with nothing to play for (Denver, Duluth, Western...spots secured) or a team who is playing their last game of the season (Omaha). If they can't win that third place game with everything on the line then golf season it is.
Spring break. All day every day at the rink before Minny.
Monday's defensive zone film session won't be fun. @scpa0305 said it best. Cam was hung out to dry and was excellent in the net this weekend.
Great shift for the game winner by the Olson line. Smith wins the board battle, Simonson throws the puck at the net, and Olson gets his stick to the net.
Doesn't matter how you win, just win.
