I’m anxious to see the kind of season Spicer has for Central (where I was told he was going). Those teams in the BEL have got to be at the level of a good portion of ND high school teams, and for him to not be held off the score sheet at all and finish top five in scoring after missing games is unreal. Get the kid on campus......

I think a lot depends on this year for the kid. Great numbers for Central, but was rarely tested with the teams playing in front of him the past two seasons. One year in Cloquet, then maybe a USHL club for a year or two and college hockey could be a possibility. Living in Grand Forks and hanging around the Ralph with NHL guys you would think Bubbs has given him a look.

Is this kid Jeff or Jay’s son?

I think Owen Hanson will be a name to look for too. Dad played D1 at Lake State a few seasons and the kid has all the makings of being a really good power forward. Sister played prep school up at Notre Dame academy, so not sure if that's the way he is looking, but probably won't be at Minot High all four years.

Kid is tearing up the Bantam elite league with the likes of Jaksen Panzer and Owen Hanson of Minot. I know they are only going to be freshmen in high school but all three have to be on our radar.

Boy did Tomek give up a softie on the game winner in the USHL playoffs against Fargo. Played pretty well otherwise I thought from the highlights. Hope he does okay in Omaha.

Makes sense now that Carle turned down Anchorage when this was coming.
