  1. When he is in a groove he is fun to watch.
  2. Good call idiot. At least you broke him out of his slump.
  3. Other than Rogers, who can be trusted out of the bullpen? Harper, Duffy, Magill, Morin, May...... It's a marathon, not a sprint, but if they get to the postseason they won't score ten runs a game. It's got to get addressed. I'd be up for sending Kepler to AAA for a wake up call.
  4. Didn't work out on Fargo, didn't work out in Minneapolis.....anybody want a head case hockey player from Edina?
  5. Karl had the job of literally breaking down video of thousands of professional games. And as we know there is a huge emphasis on special teams play in film analysis. Hopefully he can bring some of that with him. If you've ever met Karl the guy is down to earth and extremely intelligent. I think he will help with recruiting, and I see our goaltending taking a step forward this season. Not kidding when I say he could be the head coach in 10 years.
  6. KG is back in GF. One of my favorite players of all time to wear the green and I believe an academic all American to go with it. We know he can coach goaltenders, can he coach a power play??
  7. Both programs now! The UCONN of womens hockey and the North Dakota of mens hockey!
  8. Wonder why the two schools don't work out a home and home. Seems like UND has played all the old school programs over the years (BU, BC, Sparty, NH, Maine, LSSU, Cornell).....but not Michigan in a series at Yost or the Ralph. Obviously met in the NCAA's a few times. Some good, some.....not so good.....
  9. Good luck Ludvig. The Euros are officially gone. UND loses more Olympians. That 30 for 30 episode on lost Olympians should air any time now.
  10. Not sure where to post this but for the 6th year in a row hockey led the NCAA in APR (academic progress rate). I'm amazed it's not volleyball or softball, where four year athletes are always the norm. Good stat for college hockey.
  11. They may as well have taken my 2 year old daughter.
  12. A) They know something we don't know. B) Hell, it's the 16th round, why not? C) Jack Hughes is coming to GF!!!! D) All of the above Only forward without a point for the USA at the U-18. Some good moments when he played physical and with an edge. I'd say his skating is what has to improve the most, but can't blame him for looking a step behind amongst the likes of Hughes/Zegras/Turcotte. I think a year in the USHL wouldn't be the worst thing for him.
  13. Saw that Blake got drafted by I believe Chicago today in the Phase 1 USHL draft.
  14. What's the earliest a kid can go to the US developmental program? Is it the year they turn 16 or year they turn 17?
  15. Member Tampa??? I think Florida is ready for college hockey. The Lightning have people excited about hockey, and I think it would be easy to recruit kids to the state.
  16. Amazing though how 500 bucks under the table to a kid from Souris Manitoba has him on the next bus to the Calgary Hitmen. I'd love to see some exhibition games between the college teams and the CHLers. Michigan vs. Windsor at the new Joe, I'd watch that.
  17. That Tonka team would have been unreal with him. Wow.
  18. It was more of a joke that he's going to Denver and you should have been a loving influence to attend our favorite school. Question for ya. Did he not want to play for the USDT? Not try out? Kid is a great player and I'm sure he will score a few on us.
  19. NCAA: "You can't talk to these kids until they are older." Major Junior/CHL: "HIGH FIVES FOR EVERYONE!!!!"
  20. Cameron Rowe turns 18 on June 1, I'm going to assume then that he is ineligible for another year at the USDT. Tried to find if any USHL team has his draft rights, but I didn't have much luck. Ranked right now as the #4 North American goalie so a mid to later round pick I'd guess at this point.
  21. That 16 year old Russian goalie would love Grand Forks.
  22. It was.....played their last game this morning. Was on NHL network.
  23. Consecutive shifts for Judd....no kidding. Now we are playing three lines.....
  24. Jack Hughes just broke Ovi's record for total points at U-18 on an assist to a Cam York (Michigan) goal. Bobby Brink (DENVER) has a goal, I bet @Goon is proud....
  25. I think I've counted three shifts today for Judd. Canada and the U.S. just throwing the top end guys at each other.
