Lots of things stacked against the green team this weekend. They can't take penalties.....any lazy sticks is a Duluth player flopping and Perunovich coming out to head their power play. It's a big weekend for Rhett because he is going to end up taking a TON of face offs, and his success on those will be key to keeping Duluth out of our end. I think Scheel is the guy in net tonight. More positionally sound, and I could see Duluth really taking advantage of Thome getting caught out of position with their puck movement. Green glasses: Friday: UND 4-3 Saturday: Duluth 5-1

Think my point was more along the lines of let's see how the guy fares getting thrown to the lions in their den right away. Said "tell tale", not "defining moment". I'm a fan of the hire, I think he does well.

We return a lot in the skill positions. Would not surprise me if there is a different QB week 1. Also wouldn't be surprised if a speedster WR is found in the juco ranks to stretch the defenses a little bit.

This goes two ways: 1. Bubba says call the game my way and Danny has to limit what he calls because a punt is a good play, and there is no change from Rudy. 2. Bubba gives Danny open mic night with the offense and he legitimately proves whether or not he can handle it, but gets an honest opportunity. Big tell tale will be the NDSU game. What a great environment for the guy to prove he knows what he is doing, or get blown out of the coordinator booth.

Former student of mine played for NDSU, and in conversations with him I asked why NDSU was on such a great run. The first person he named out of everyone in that operation was the S & C guy without taking a breath.

We can't fix their diving. When your players make the NCAA don't dive video you have problems.

My apologies, but there is no out homering Bruce Ciskie. The guy knew he had the call for NCHC.tv at the third place game at the NCHC tournament, yet still proceeded to make an @ss out of himself in quite possibly the worst period of broadcasted hockey in the history of the game.
