    More ranting at the NDHSAA You have Williston and Dickinson traveling 6 plus hours on Tuesday and Thursday. Now, you've got them playing at 10 AM on a Saturday morning in Minot. Both teams now likely to travel to Minot tonight to stay in a hotel, and get up early Saturday to play a morning state qualifier. Since you already went out of your way to be "safe" the first two rounds, why don't you have Dickinson meet up in Williston Saturday evening at a time that makes more sense and has less travel? And the winner gets a trek across the state for one game on a Tuesday in Grand Forks......Odds extremely low either would knock off a Central or Red River, but if they did, go back home only to make the same trip on Thursday or Friday after making the trip on Monday likely and staying in a hotel. And the class B basketball tournaments go on as normal......makes sense.

    Can somebody get Ciskie Miami please? Anybody? Could we change the schedule so they are in Duluth for the remainder of the season? No reason for Duluth to come to the Ralph, just play Miami in the first round and reseed from there.

    If you were on the committee and you have a 13-10-2 Duluth team that beat Miami for half of their wins are you letting them in? They'd better beat SCSU a time or two.

    The Williston goalie stood on his head. Probably wants the OT goal back, but he was the reason it was in OT.

    Red River rolling over South. 5-0. Williston hanging in against Century, down 3-2 in the 2nd. Depth a big problem for Williston.

    I've heard people like Mike Peluso say that the numbers aren't there for Legacy to have hockey as down the road BHS would be heavily hit. I guess I'm not sure how its chosen where the Legacy, St. Mary's, or Shiloh kids play their high school hockey. When I played BHS had a bunch of St. Marys kids on the team, but now the Curl kid plays at Century. Plus I'm told there isn't enough ice in Bismarck to have another JV and Varsity program.

    So the Michigan Tech band was unavailable too? Its not like their team has to be there to get an invite.....

    After all these years, the WCHA F5 gopher rule finally goes our way.

    I called a penalty on a player in my early officiating days because he said "f3ck my life" after ringing the crossbar dead on. Wasn't directed at anybody but himself, but I heard it, and USA hockey said zero tolerance on that. I think the kid understood the penalty but his coach lost it on me. I had to show him between periods in the rule book the profanity rule (used to be 601 E.), but it still turned into the coach riding me all game long about every little instance because his kid swore.

    So I just attempted to find Cole Spicer's stats on the U17 stats page and he hasn't played a game there since Jan 16th. Anybody know if he got hurt or is playing elsewhere?
