  1. Welp....here we go.
  2. Heart is beating through my chest here.... Yikes....
  3. Sensational play in that spot. Polanco not doing the job defensively.
  4. Big moment here for Pablo. Need to get out of this inning up 3-0.
  5. I wondered why the game was so short, but Carolina made every effort to shorten the game by running the ball as much as possible and milked the heck out of the play clock. Add that to the Vikings only passing 19 times, and 2:30 pm I started to mow the lawn because it was over.
  6. Need someone to step up and be Kirby Puckett. Put the team on your back and get the job done. Through the entire losing streak how many clutch moments have there been from players in a Twins uniform? Early in the game tomorrow someone will have a big at bat with ducks on the pond, and they've got to set the precedent and get the job done.
  7. Holy crap its game week..... Party.
  8. Split right down the middle on singles, and that's an @ss kicking. See you at Beth Page in 2025.
  9. Morikawa goes down. Scheffler halves with Rahm. Looking like a 17-11 kinda day.
  10. Easy on the H word in the football thread.....
  11. Gotta win 8 and a half ya say. Possible Winners: Cantlay, Homa, Clark, Harman, Morikawa, Rickie, Schauffele. Losers: Speith, Thomas, Brooks, Scheffler Burns. The streak continues of not winning on European soil.
  12. I was wrong. Thought we could keep it to one score, and be a good game. The third and 18 late in the first half.......come....on.....
  13. At least the US finally got a point so they'll have to wait to hand out the cup until Sinday.
  14. I can't believe Brooks wasn't out there. It'll be over soon....
  15. USA got swept in the morning session. This is setting up to get really ugly if they can't scratch away 3 this afternoon. 4-0 Europe.
  16. Verlander pitches on Saturday I'm told, so hopefully all involved do enough winning to make it worth his while to pitch that day. I think being the 6th seed in the playoffs is a bit more attractive than being the 5th. Most teams would rather play the Twins than the Rays. As it stands today. Baltimore, Tampa, and the Twins have all clinched the postseason. If Texas gets swept in Seattle they're likely out. 1. Baltimore 2. Texas 3. Twins 4. Rays 5. Blue Jays 6. Astros 7. Mariners (1.5 back of the Astros)
  17. Of all the remaining teams I'd love to see Houston get knocked out for obvious reasons. Very important that Houston clinches nothing before the last game and Verlander has to pitch on Sunday. That way he's spent until at least Thursday and can't make a Tuesday appearance.
  18. First rumors of Kirk to NY Jets. Let's see....
  19. One of my favorite things about the Ryder Cup is the "home team" getting to set the course up to their advantage. Really takes the huge hitters out of it if they can't go straight off the tee. Team USA better adapt better than they did in Paris.
  20. Who ya got? To me the European side is going to be incredibly tough to beat with Rahm, Rory, and Hovland all playing well. Thank bleeping God Ian Poulter isn't on Europe any more. It never matter how poorly he'd played leading up to the Ryder Cup he always found a way to play well in the competition. I'll say Europe wins 15 and 1/2 to 12 and 1/2.
  21. And now we are blaming the fans for being too loud during the end of the game so we couldn't get the play in........ This entire year is karma for how last season went. We won so many one score games in a row that it had to come back at some point. We've now lost 4 games in a row dating back to last season by that single score differential. The way Allen went off makes one believe that Adam T. will have his revenge game in Charlotte next week.
  22. I mean it's the old addage, you've got to beat every one. I don't think they should be uncomfortable playing any of these teams. There isn't a giant killer team of any of these teams like a Yankees of the past. Any of these teams could represent the AL in the series.
  23. Now the A's for three. Come on here fellas, three more wins. Texas is attainable.
  24. KOC kind of lost at the end. Kirk looked over and instead of spike the ball and have three plays it was confusion. Could be 0-5 after the KC Chiefs come to town. Looks to me like the relationship with Kirk (367 with 3 TDS and a pick) is coming to an end. At some point he's getting hurt this year. Getting hit too much.
  25. If it ended today the Twins would be hosting the Astros. Crazy how much movement there is likely to be. You could see the Astros not make it with their remaining schedule after the Royals. The Rangers just got swept in Cleveland, yet lead the AL West. I know it's celebratory at the moment, get the guys rest that need it, but keep playing baseball. Win 4 of these 5 home games and you've got a great chance for a first round bye.
