    UNO at UND

I know a few years ago when we played UC-Davis in the playoffs (when they had the mullet man, JT O'Sullivan at QB), they brought their band with...That was the playoff however. This game will definitely have a playoff atmosphere...can't wait!

    UNO at UND

I just got done buying tix as well. I went to the Ralph and bought 6 tix on the 10 yard line half way up on the Sioux sidelines. Hopefully people start buying tix for this game...it will most likely be the biggest/most exciting game of the year, outside of a possible semi-final matchup (which may not occur if we don't win this one).
  3. I agree...and if you ever have a chance to eat at the Pizza Corner restaurant in Valley City do it...The Pizza tastes even better...
  4. It looks as though Stafford will play and Goehring will dress for the game tonight...http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/i...mp;section=News
  5. I just returned from Northwood. My employer allowed around 20 of us to head down and help out. We spent most of the day helping out at the Hospital/Nursing Home. We also went to a few random houses and helped out. It's amazing how much damage can be done in just a few minutes. The people of Northwood will be needing assistance for quite some time. I should also mention that the folks I visited with all seemed to be in pretty good spirits and thankful for the help they are receiving.
  6. A few years back (5 or 6 I think), I was in NYC visiting my little brother. We were on top of the Empire State Building and ran into a guy wearing a UND sweater. It turned out to be Andy Schneider's dad and his family. He was there to see the Sioux on an East Coast swing to Princeton and Yale. My brother and I ended up taking the train to both Princeton, NJ and New Haven, Conn and caught both games...both of which the Sioux won. The Yale game also had a huge fight which was a bonus!
  7. I have heard that it is a combo of milk, mayo, and pepper...not sure if that's 100% accurate though.
  8. Jim, thanks for clarifying what I was trying to get across. In addition to what Jim said, perhaps the rumors of unrest within the athletic department aren't as bad as what some people are making them out to be. Yes, I like to take the optimistic approach to things.
  9. I guess we can take some consolation in the fact that he isn't actively looking for new job. Maybe he just wants to see what his value is on the market for when his contract with UND is up for renewal...we can always hope...
  10. I was watching Fox sports (Channel 10) last night and the reporter stated that Lennon never applied for the job initially. There were initially 70 applicants for the position. The reporter stated that Lennon was contacted by the MSU search committee. Has anyone else heard or able to confirm this?
  11. Our congressmen are lobbying for the new tankers, but to my knowledge...A new mission with the new tankers for GFAFB has not occured.
  12. Perhaps the NCAA would look at UND more positively if we were to add a sport with Native American origins... Lacrosse
  13. I'm sure they mistook us for NDSU...or maybe they know something we don't
  14. My buddy took a picture of it with his camara phone...I'll see if he can't get it emailed to me...and the dance was great!
  15. Anybody have a picture of the eagle? Maybe reading too much into it, but could it have anything to do with the possiblility that we are playing the BC EAGLES on Thursday? Maybe someones trying to make a statement?
  16. I agree that they are packed, but what a blast it was last year in Milwaukee! All the small screens had Sioux highlites playing. I especially enjoyed reliving the old fights they were showing. One of the guys in our group got separated from us and when he finally made it to the pre-game party he found himself standing in line next to Tony Hrkac! They were going to charge Tony to get into the party but my buddy said there was no way Tony Hrkac should have to pay to be at that party so he paid the cover for him. I recommend any Sioux fans who will be in St. Louis to at least stop by and check it out.
  17. So is the announcement made from the ice where people attending the skills competition will be able to witness it live...or is it in a separate room and if so, are tix available to the general public?
  18. I'm not real excited about her, but it's a nice change from strictly hearing country all weekend. Maybe she'll bring Kid Rock along. I believe my co-worker was supposed to or she did go to that Sheryl Crow show with you.

    Wefest 2007

Not necessarily GF or ND news...but many people are still interested. Here's Wefest's 25th Anniversary lineup lineup
  20. link I'm not sure if the REA is going to continue to honor and educate people about Native American culture...but I thought it was a good idea then http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6520... sorry...shameless plug ...and still do believe it is a great opportunity. Unlike what Myles Brand says, this shows that the University IS doing it's part in working with the Native American community to do something positive, and promote Native American culture.

    Circle time

Didn't UND and NDSU continue to play in Baseball for one year. I remember something about a lopsided UND victory in the last game and then NDSU refusing to schedule UND the next year.

    UND vs UNO

South Dakot sure isn't putting up much of a fight...they are trailing 28-3 at halftime.
  23. So does anyone know if the FSU exemption will need to be reapproved after so many years or have they been granted an indefinite exemption.
  24. What are the chances UND and the NCAA reach some sort of settlement prior to the April court date? There seems to be some support (depending on who you ask) among the Sioux tribes, and I would guess that UND will continue to work on growing these relationships. We also have the current resolution from the Spirit Lake tribe which in effect supports the name. Now that the courts have issued the injunction, would the NCAA consider a probationary period for UND which would allow them to work with the Sioux Tribal governments and see if a consensus on the name, one way or the other, can be reached. The NCAA claims they wanted to create a dialogue, so perhaps here's there chance to let that play out?
