    3: North Dakota is in position to win its third straight Penrose Cup, which would mark the first time an NCHC team has done so. UND needs three points at Omaha this weekend to win the Cup outright and two points to earn at least a share of the Cup with Denver. DU dropping three points against Colorado College would also give UND the Penrose Cup. UND has won four of eight Penrose Cups previously, while Denver’s only Penrose Cup came in 2016-17........ I stand corrected, this is off the NCHC website.

    I believe that Berry deserves the extension. His performance and his support staff's performance has been exemplary. This also helps recruits in knowing that he will be at UND for the foreseeable future.

    If they both win in the quarter finals of the ECAC tournament, it is probable they would meet in the semis. Q is #1 and Cornell is #4 in their conference.

    No, it is used for selecting the at-large teams along with other criteria. AQ teams, Conference tournament champions are automatic no matter how their season went. "Just win baby!"

    The boys blocked 23 shots tonight!! This blue collar lunch pail crew believe in themselves and each other. We are truly blessed with the coaching staff and the character of this team.

    Frozen Faceoff (conference tournament) has a different trophy. The Julie and Spencer Penrose Memorial trophy is the regular season champion trophy.
