  1. I agree. Looked like he launched a bit in order to follow-through on the hit.
  2. Slightly reworded for consistency.
  3. Even though we give credit to Blais for having more of a "speed" system, his teams could cycle the puck like CRAZY. I still haven't seen a Hakstol team as good at cycling the puck despite the perception that is his token "style."
  4. Well, BC has twice as many alumni in the NHL as UND, so perhaps the players have something to do with how their systems look.
  5. Way to put yourself out there!
  6. Coleman and Czarnik will be RETURNING to Miami OH.
  7. I would definitely add Luke Johnson to your list. He has been pretty quiet. If he can find the score sheet with some regularity in the F4, especially on the PP, we will be extremely tough to beat.
  8. Invest in a good internet connection for Sioux hockey. I have DirecTV as well and am very happy with it. I cannot speak for Dish since I've never had it.
  9. The lack of a PPG is biting us in the butt. We've had our chances to open up a bigger lead but couldn't. I like our game otherwise as long as we can keep composure.
  10. I understand that we don't clear the front of the net like we used to, but it is also often brought up that we don't "stand 'em up at the blue line" like we used to. This got me wondering if there is even a team out there that can do that any more? The way interference is called now, all an attacking forward has to do is chip the puck by the D and it then becomes a race to a loose puck instead of a body play. If you try to stand someone up and he chips the puck past you you're probably looking at a 50/50 chance of an interference call. I like how we've transitioned to a more mobile group of D.
  11. Even thought the ushers were kind of pains-in-the-a$$ (at least where I was sitting), they were very good about not allowing people to return to their seats until a whistle. Gotta give 'em some credit for that.
  12. Can't tell if you're dogging him for attitude or suggesting a possible injury. This time of year I guess one could always suspect injuries.
  13. Both were at TC. Denver beat us in '99 title game, and we beat Wisco in '00.
  14. And your post had zero to do with a frozen face off review. I enjoyed being in downtown Minneapolis for a change. St. Paul got to be quite stale after 13 years. The biggest issue was the target center. The seats were pitched well, but the glass warped the view of the ice. I will be moving higher up next year. The staff were a little too "aggressive" with their pat-downs and asking to see tickets when going to the seats. It was a bit annoying. The lack of closed-circuit TV in the concourse and a decent scoreboard made it feel "old," but hopefully that will be addressed when they update it as part of the Vikings Stadium finance package. That's still happening, right?
  15. Ha ha...thought you were still stuck in Duluth! We'll be invading downtown Minneapolis tomorrow afternoon.
  16. I've noticed this too. In particular, in OT vs. CC, they had iced the puck and Owens sent about 8 guys out to the faceoff dot. Confusion ensued, and it took about 30 seconds to get the puck dropped. I was screaming for a delay of game...I wish they would just drop the puck and assess a too many men penalty. I remember a time where they threatened to drop the puck within 15 seconds regardless...boy has that gone by the wayside.
  17. Since this is not an NCAA sponsored event and not on a dry campus arena it does not have to be "dry." The X was not a dry venue, either.
  18. ^ YUP!
  19. Because players just "get to play" with Bergeron? Clearly you haven't watched him in nearly every game this season. His start of the season wasn't good (and he was moved off the PB line), but once he got going there was a stretch where he carried this team for a good month earlier this season.
  20. I really like both of those guys for obviously different reasons. Marchand has a way of firing his teammates up, both with his play and with his tongue; but with that comes an occasional backfire. Suter is just a pure player...you never see that guy chirping at anyone. Gotta respect a guy that ALWAYS lets his play do the talking.
  21. 8-4 in last 12 games...4-3 last 7...blah, blah. At this point, you're only as good as your next game not your last one (or 5, or 10...).
  22. I had a pretty good experience this year with the UND sports webcasts. I used my laptop hard wired to my router and with HDMI to my TV. I streamed through Firefox and had no issues other than an occasional stutter. Pitcture was crisp with no pixelation. This past Sunday I started out using Chrome and started getting a blurry feed. I switched back to Firefox and had no issues the rest of the game. I think Neulion was pushing Chrome as the best browser, but I really had no issues with Firefox, and I found the performance to be better in my limited trial.
  23. This is true for us, also. I've been away from Grand Forks since 1999 (Northwest Metro). We held onto our season tickets and drove 280 miles 1-way for every home series until having kids in 2006. Since 2006, we've been making a couple road trips a year instead of making the trek to GF, but we still get there for many of the the series over the holidays. Mankato, Duluth, St. Cloud, Madison, Omaha, Minneapolis, St. Paul, heck even a quick flight to Denver are all more accessible than Grand Forks for us. In all honesty I've enjoyed making road trips more than having the season tickets. Road games are so much fun to attend! If you've got the budget but can't get season tickets, by all means take in a couple road series!

  25. I hate to waste away a Sunday, but can we just fast-forward to 7PM please?
