  1. I did a quick search of this guy's posts, and found this: hey im a big notre dame fan and live in fargo so obviously travel isnt an issue but how much would i be looking at for ticket price? just a poor college student who really can care less about where my seat is. Damn I'm good!
  2. What's up LakesBison/MPLS Bison?

  3. I'm thinking this reeks of a Bison troll. Gopher fans wouldn't say that hockey is meaningless...I think we all have a pretty good idea who this "Irish Fan" is.....
  4. Uh oh... HERE WE GO!
  5. I was reading a complimentary copy of USA Today this morning, and Coach Bohl made the Sports section AND the North Dakota news section of the 50 state news section. Good job coach and Fargo!
  6. Wow, good luck to UND.
  7. Is this a COUNTER for UW or an Exhibition Game? I have looked at UW and UND's site, and it doesn't mention exhibition. I assumed it was...anyone?
  8. Absolutely, there are always these types of fans, it appears that the percentage is much higher in Madison though.
  9. I gave you a plus 1 for this post. Nice work!
  10. So, you are saying that you have been on a lot of WCHA road trips, and the Madison experience has been the worst as far as "d-bag" home fans? I wonder how they would have treated you if they had won, or got more than 16 shots on goal each night! Anyway, nice sweep, and don't let the UW idots ruin it, keep making the trip and fill up that arena. I heard the Sioux fans on the friday broadcast, good job to those who were there!
  11. Brad's live chat really kills the game thread on siouxsports.com, but that is okay. What a period! Outshot em 7-5, while being on the penalty kill for 9 minutes versus only a 2 minute powerplay. I expect us to get a few goals here in the 2nd, they will have to start calling more UW penalties, the "marble theory" is always in full effect in the WCHA.
  12. For some reason I have a feeling about this game. Not sure why. I could see UND pulling off the win... Alternatively, Hendrickson and Goska might complete 5 of 25 passes and we get blown out. I'm going to go with: UND 24 Montana 21
  13. I know it seems like NDSU fans are against it...but are we letting a few messageboard types speak for the entire fanbase? I'd like to see an official poll taken about this. You would think a lot of Bison fans would want to resume the rivalry, and move to the Big Sky, but who knows.
  14. Do you mean YOU have no interest, or are you a PR spokesperson for NDSU?
  15. Saturday's game will also be broadcast live on the following channels: * Fighting Sioux Sports Network (Cable affiliates throughout North Dakota and NW Minnesota) * Midco Sports Network channel 27 ( North and South Dakota) Coverage begins at 1 p.m. (central)
  16. I agree. It seems like everyone is waiting...waiting...waiting....for games to matter. The hardcore fans know that all of these transition games are important for building momentum, etc....but the average fan just can't seem to get interested. I think that is to be expected. Also, I think most people are pretty apathetic about this year's squad, and expect us to lose at Montana. IF UND was to upset Montana, I think many more people would pay attention to the program, and it would be a great stepping stone into next year and beyond. Call them "bandwagon fans", but we would certainly take anyone to get some excitement going again. I think it will happen, but I'm afraid it might not be until 2012. Watch the game folks! It is on TV at 1 pm. GO SIOUX! BEAT MONTANA!
  17. Wow, great news! NDSU, make the right decision. You belong with UND and the montanas, not usd and sdsu and the others.
  18. I agree, Ryan Cardinal is a huge asset to college hockey when he is on KFAN. Here is how I see it: -Ryan is the gopher fan I have a beer with and talk about college hockey in depth with at the Final Five -PA and Gorg are the gopher fans who heckle us and say "F the SIOUX!" have been to 1 gopher game that year, and got free tickets to the Final Five from a buddy, they say UND has 23 year old Canadians, are hacks, we are hicks, and the Gophers are by far the superior program(even thought they aren't at the Final Five that year)
  19. I wasn't arguing that point, I'm saying it goes both ways. We get recruits because of the size of our city, and we lose recruits because of the size (or lack thereof) of our city.
  20. I have no official stats, this is just anecdotal but one would think there are just as many smaller city recruits who would hate to live in a bigger city like the Twin Cities Metro area. To them, Grand Forks would be a great place to play. Also, there is the "dilution factor" of playing hockey at a place like the U of MN-Twin Cities. It is such a big area, the hockey program isn't the biggest thing in town. A place like UND and Grand Forks, hockey is front and center, something that is very attractive to many recruits. I think these things even out due to the reasons above.
  21. I'm talking about the Seawolves, not sure about the Nanooks, but sounds interesting...
  22. That is funny stuff. It is great that they are from Montana, and making fun of North Dakota! One word for our friends to the west: "Baaaaaaaaaaa!"
  23. Wow. I'll take the Alaska Anchorage Seawolf video and song over that anyday! I feel sad inside for those guys in the video.
  24. That is awesome you had a good time, even with some poor results on the field/ice. You are correct, the Alerus can get quite intimidating. What you saw on saturday afternoon was as quiet and vanilla as it gets in there. You will have to come back in a few years when Montana comes to town! That is really cool you came, after just deciding to follow UND all those years ago from New Jersey.
  25. Yeah, glad to see someone agrees.. It isn't sour grapes on my part either.
